I very very hope that DXR will be less noisy than 780R!!! Then It will be the perfect choice for everyone else!!!!
Just a question, Can't US retailers provide TURKISH keyboard somehow? (They are just available in Turkey so it is about ordering only)

The point of all this is if you think someone is a liar you DO NOT call them out on it in an open forum period.
Ken's a liar ? fine message him and tell him he is lying instead of trying to make yourself look like some big shot because honestly it does nothing more then make you look like the whiny little brother who did not get his way.
I have known Ken for a LONG time personally and he is far from a liar so its pretty disgusting when i read that original OP .
The MSI GT780DX looks like a winner though . -

How is the gaming performance on the model with the 560M? What can we expect with the 570M in terms of performance with current games?
Also, is there a date for when the 570M is gonna be out? -
-
hey btw i havent seen the benchmarks for 560m overclocked 100% with msi afterburner like ken did for 570m
-
and for those having keyboard flex issues / keyboard not attached properly ,
ive used the paste (used to stick the wood) to attach the borders of the keyboard properly to the surface , the good thing about the paste is that its not permanent and you can open the keyboard anytime, flex is decreased around 80% -

GT780R-012US comes with two hard drives in RAID0.
Having previously experienced the feeling of a SSD, I decided to immediately replace the Seagate Momentus (500 GB) connected to SATA0 with a
Crucial C300 (128 GB). This of course required to break the RAID volume in order to run plain AHCI, and this in turn leads to reinstalling the operating system.
Also, I prefer to have a fresh Windows install to start with, being the kind of guy which does not like bloatware.
I found that the hard drive located near the battery pack is the one connected to SATA0, see attached images.
I grabbed the Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit setup DVD and started the usual installation procedure, only to find 30 minutes later that Windows was very unstable, to the point that it crashed with a BSOD almost immediately after the bootstrap.
I suspected the culprit could be some missing driver, perhaps the Intel Rapid Technology or the Intel Chipset. Since laptops do not have floppy drives, you cannot use F6 while installing to let Windows use a third party driver. Therefore I resorted to "slipstreaming", a procedure by which the drivers are included in the installation disk.
With the help of RT Se7en Lite I was able to include all of the drivers listed on the MSI web site, then the installation went fine and now Windows is running beautifully.Attached Files:

I just pre-ordered the GT780DXR from Amazon but there is nothing about when it comes out... I didn't see anything on MSI's site either. Anyone have any word on when it comes out?
-
Any one using the 280.26 drivers? I'm getting all sorts of tearing and blotches all over the place, even on the desktop.
Homer -
I pre-ordered the 780DXR specifically for Witcher 2, Battlefield 3, Rage, & Guild Wars 2... selling my PS3 & 360 to help finance it. My question is, should the 570m provide enough of a boost over the 560m to play those games max'd out???
I saw the benchmark's for the 560m & the 580m, but couldn't find any for the 570m... which I'm guessing falls somewhere in between.
Benchmarks for the 560m looked decent, but the games were a little older... maybe a better question is whether the gt780R has been able to handle Withcer 2 max'd out at 30+ fps???
I've been told I should shop for a desktop if I want to max out newer games w/o drops in frame rate... but a laptop is really more convenient for school. -
Id say Witcher 2 is going to be the only thing you wont be able to turn every single option on IE uber sampling which is not really needed but yeah the 570 should handle just about every title maxed out for the most part ( also depends on what type of framerate you want to have IE is 30fps enough or is 60fps what you want all the time etc. ).
Battlefield 3 is also to early to tell but it should run it just fine .
The 570 based on the benchmarks i have seen is a monster and a NICE step up from the 560 without a doubt.
Looking forward to seeing some game benchmarks etc. -
, all videos uploaded on our youtube channel are made by me.
I can test again.
Because I didn't see your post. no I don't see more fan activity with 570M.

Having issues with the SD card slot
It reads fine, but can't write
also it corrupted one of my cards
I've tried reinstalling the msi drivers and no luck
can it be faulty hardware?
I'm already considering RMA it because of the faint horizontal lines on the display. -
Mmmm, Im wondering the same! Is there a big difference between the gtx560m and the gtx570m?
Cuz I want to buy the 560 version but dont know if 570 worth the waiting time -
Yes it is certainly worth the wait at this point.
The performance difference is pretty substantial without a doubt so unless you have to get something ASAP i would hold off . -
-
There are a couple benchmarks in this thread for the 570m plus there are few machines out in the wild as well with 570s, so we should be seeing quite abit very soon.
-
mmmm, lets wait some days ^^

GPU score 8397
AND 570M overclocked with default drivers.
GPU Score 13177
Huge difference. It is worth waiting a while.

pretty common sense. -
-
What would be the basic performance difference between the GTX 570m and a 485m? It sounds like the 485m would have the upper hand but I wonder by how much?

GTX 560M (8397)

Posting a correction is one thing but he flat out calls him a liar . How is that any way to handle business if you are a reseller ?.
Forum members are one thing but these are people conducting business and should have a bit more class on a forum where they are hoping to keep conducting business.
To me that would be "pretty common sense". -
Very interesting comparison... note the 570m is still without a release driver as well. (usually adds ~10%)
I assume those are all stock... -
FWIW, I got my 683DXR today. I modified the 275.50's so I could install them versus the driver that came stock (268 something). While I haven't been able to get a stable overclock as high as the one in Ken's video, ( I settled on 700/1400/1800) I was able to get 12,430 in Vantage. Switching from the stock driver to the modified 275.50's got me a 100 point increase.
Still playing with it to see what I can get out of it. -
So... he's modding 275.50 and moving OC sliders to get roughly stock 485M performance...
Not too shabby IMHO.
How's the heat Keith? -
The heat's not too bad. When I ran Vantage with the OC, the GPU topped out at 78C. I did put in a i7 2720 versus the stock CPU, so I don't know if that would have any effect on the temps.
Edit: Just ran 3D Mark 11 and got a score of 3323 with the 275.50 drivers. GPU temp topped out at 81C with the 700/1400/1800 overclock. -
Think that tears it then... 570m and 6970m are roughly equal. It will be interesting to see the final OC results especially when there are optimized release drivers for the 570m.
It doesn't matter really which card ends up the better one... we all win due to solid competition on both sides of the fence. -
Anyway you exceeded GTX 485M.
By the way Congrats for the new Gadget. I guess you will be busy for a while -
Yes, I am going to be busy playing with my new toy. -
Mmmm, it looks that the gtx570m will be equal or better than the 6970 once new drivers came out
-
Pd: congrats Keith for your new toy, hope you enjoy it ^^

Would you consider starting a GT683R/GT683DXR Owner's Lounge thread? No on has done this yet, and it would be helpful to the community.
Thanks!

+1 its clearly seen that the gtx570m will/beat the 6970 -

I am sure the difference will be greater in 11.
Also an overclocked 6970 can get up to 15k GPU score. -
