depending on your keyboard layout, the enter key may be already very big. The enter key on the japanese keyboard is massive.

in Canada they did... the enter key is huge now and they moved the slash key to where the left shift is and made the shift smaller so when i \capitalize \things I get slashes as the slash key is in the area where the left shift should be... the only manufacturers that aren't doing this is Dell, Lenovo and Apple, everyone else is!!! and it's pissing me off!!!!! as I only have 3 brands to choose from

Well, the T410s is slated to be released January 7th, just two more days. Looks like some of the stuff in those "leaked pics" was correct.

Hummm... like what? The claims on the photoshoped pictures were :

. no more "Lenovo" inscription --> wrong
. no separation line below the speakers --> most likely wrong, but I can't tell yet from the official Lenovo pictures
. no more holes for the closing mechanism --> wrong
. two additional USB ports (one on the side, one on the back) --> both wrong
. two thinklights --> wrong, of course
. more cooling holes --> wrong

Oh, the guy did not photoshop the screen, so he got the 16:10 aspect ratio. Is that all?

Released on the 7th, as in if I order it then it will be shipped in a few days like other models, or available for pre order?

It could go either way. The T61 had a problematic release while T400 was more smooth. Since they're changing more this time I'd be inclined to think the former, but you never know until it happens.

How long did the T61 take to start shipping?

They were problematic. Some shipped quickly and others took months.

So is there any info on if the screens of the 410 will be better than the 400, which I see many people have said was horrible?

They're all supposed to be led backlit so they are most likely a lot better than the 400/500

Just so you know, just because it's LED-backlit doesn't mean the image quality will be better. Just ask people with the T400s screen.

May be better, may be worse, who knows? We need real testimony before making a conclusion.
