anyone see any sleep states (s states) in their bios? I thought it use to be there... maybe it was in the beta version. I'd really like to disable s4 state.

Well I am not benchmarking, but I feel a smoother effect... maybe my brain :p .

But, this driver has been created by Aorus (can't find it on nvidia website)... and the X9 has only 1070...

If you have time, have a try and let me know

Hi guys. New here. Saw that the Aorus X5 V6 is on sale at Xotic for $1799, and my desired customization of it would run me $1894. Is the X5 V6 still a great device?

@Devesc how did you end getting on with the custom CPU BIOS from a while back?

Did you end up unlocking BIOS overclocking?

So far i didnt encountered any problems with this laptop. It is really amazing, but it has few small cons.
    1. Keyboard it is not from premium class. Lights are op tho.
    2. Laptop speakers are failure. They produce not much sound. If you try to play Witcher 3 (wild hunt) you wont hear what is happening in the game (even if you put sound to max). This happens because fans are to noisy. If you have speakers it is not a problem.

That is all, there is like 20 more reason why you should pick this device and only these 2 why you should not pick it. It is OP overall :)

    No bios tweak.

But I love this computer so much : slim, design, nice screen, nice temperatures...

I broke 2 keys from my keyboard, but the after sale services sent me 3 of them... pretty hard to find some brand new one... so be careful

I had a small issue with mine, tiny crack on the hinge:

    See red square.

Sent to repair partner and they claimed it wouldn't POST.

The advised they replace mobo and case under warranty...cool....so far.

This is what they sent back to:

Where the heckin' heck is my battery?

How the hell can there be a 22*C difference between core 0 and core 3?
Why is it throttling when I am watching a simple youtube video? (All overclock levels set at default/level0)?

2 of the SSD retaining screws missing.

You may or may not recall I had the same issue with temps previously when the same business repaired my previous X5.

So no gaming for me until this mess if fixed, I'm petrified I'll have to send it back to them again!!!

just use the default profile in xtu and don't touch the slider. Alternatively move/delete the cpuoc folder at your command & control install location. Also about the 22°C different, I had a similar issue. The pasting job was the worst I've ever seen The paste was dried out and all over the place in absurd quantity.

This is the second time my X5 has been returned to me in this condition.

    I'm pretty annoyed.

If it is simple a thermal paste issue there is no excuse.

    Thanks for your input @Flux42

looks like the x9 graphics driver added about 300 points to my fire-strike on stock settings compared to the x5 driver. Am still looking for a way to unlock voltage control though.

has anyone tried replacing the grease/paste between the heatpipes and the sink? My thermal camera says there's quite a lot of improvement potential but I'm not sure about which material to use. Also the factory job is quite terrible as always.
By the way, the x9 gtx 1070 driver seems to be the way to go but only by a small margin.

Ah damn. Time to get back on 3DMark. Gotta keep my lead up. Def see our machines going past 16K perhaps through a modded BIOS. Although, i see my machine hitting thermal limits pretty soon since i'm using traditional paste as opposed to your LM job since LM is pretty expensive where i am now.

Hitting mid 90s on my CPU on the 100% Auto fan mode (not fixed 100%). GPU is still 80ish degrees. So i guess that is still okay-ish?

What were your offsets for GPU and CPU? My 6820HK does not want to go past 4.011Ghz in XTU without a bluescreen and i think my GPU core cant go past a +155 increase

    Sorry mate missed this post.

CPU is at 4.1Ghz with a -0.015v undervolt, GPU +150 core and +300 memory.

My best score was 15,960 but deleted it while cleaning up my firestrike results :/

    Temps are reasonable:

    @Papusan @hmscott @Mr. Fox

It's pretty cold in the UK, so I took the bottom cover off my X5, took it outside in 0*C temps, put a fan underneath and aimed it at the GPU/CPU and my max temps were around 39*C GPU and 44*C CPU. Yet my firestrike results were not improved.

Any ideas as to what could be restricting performance?

    Thanks.

Bios power limit for sure and also nvidia boost performance is quite driver-dependent. Finally chip lottery. Can't get over +120 on mine without crashing fitestfike.

As for getting AORUS to provide an unlocked BIOS for overclocking, try sharing this image with them via email/social networks. Maybe the power of many may change their minds:

Are the antennas for the Killer AC1535 the same as the Intel AC8265?

Been having some flaky performance with it lately, even with a bare driver install straight from Killer webpage so i'm planning on contacting my reseller and grabbing an AC8265 from them to slot in to my machine

    Hello Jared_T,

If you haven't already, I would definitely try downloading the latest drivers from our site - http://killernetworking.com/driver-downloads/item/killer-control-center-x64. If that doesn't solve the issue for you, you can reach out to us directly for further assistance at http://killernetworking.com/about/contact

@Killer_Networking so i tried to install the beta drivers and the Control Center installed to the latest version just fine, but the driver for the AC1535 adapter did not change. Its still stuck on my previous version. Suggestions?

Did you uninstall the previous drivers first?, Wifi and BT, reboot, and then install the new drivers. It might still have the same outcome, but it's worth a shot.

IDK what it's like on Windows 10 installs, but you can use the Killer installer to uninstall - running it after an install/reboot brings up options for each element to uninstall. Under Windows 8.1 and before bringing up the Windows Programs control panel lets you run the uninstall from there - I uninstall BT first then the Killer Suite or Drivers only installation.

The "uninstall" from adapters is only for the device, the drivers remain installed - I think there is an option / checkbox to select uninstall drivers at the same time, but I don't recommend that as I haven't successfully done good uninstalls via that path before with other devices - those didn't have an uninstaller, but Killer does.

    Well well well
    What do you know...
My X5s keyboard has suddenly stopped working. Upon further inspection, USB port#5 has failed enumeration. In device manager, the device shows an Error Code 43. Instead of 2, only one Standard PS/2 keyboard shows up in device manager. I don't have access to a USB keyboard at the moment so :[|]. I can't do a system restore at the moment since it requires my microsoft password and I can't type it. I have written all of this on the onscreen keyboard. Already tried uninstalling an reinstalling the driver. Please help
