    I tried to call again too - she has something good to say to me now! haha. I hope you have luck getting your laptop soon! :)

    Looks like they're finally getting to the mid-late july orders.... Hopefully I'll be hearing a change any day now :) I just wish we had the same updates as those of you in the US. Crossing my fingers and checking for that change... :D

    Just called customer service and was told I'm in the boxing stage, and it will ship out by 8/28. But I don't believe them, because I was told the same thing 2 days before my original ship date.

    I talked to customer service earlier today and I was told that there were no backordered parts on my order. I was told the same thing before my first ship date. I won't believe until my computer is delivered to me.

    Well...I've given up. I have cancelled my order after once again hearing different things from different reps today. If service is this bad now, what will it be like if I have a problem with my computer?

    I'm seriously considering going for an Apple....

    Sorry ThursdayLE - guess this weekend's outage of the automated systems was the last straw for me. I feel strangely relieved to be done with this whole mess... I hope it does somehow mean you get your computer sooner!

    GeekGrrl - I'm sorry that you canceled. It's an option I've been considering. I have a few more days until my next ship date before I'm going to decide. :(

    My status is still boxing. I have not called customer service - just the automated phone line.

    Thats like 3 Ruby Reds that were ordered after mine, that are either shipping or in boxing. WTF!@ This is BS. Not only that but we have the same screen and processor. I was so excited about this stupid laptop and now I dont even care that much anymore. I couldnt wait to show it to my friends, family, co-workers....now Im just tired of all of this crap. It kinda makes me gag to talk about laptops anymore...or Dell. I have a very bad taste in my mouth that just gets worse everyday. Its not kool when my co-workers laugh at me when I say " Nope, still didnt get my laptop."

    Im not going to cancel...but I already had to rent a crappy computer from my school. Its so not worth the money for this thing.

    This isnt bad customer service...its No customer service. Untill I hear otherwise.

    FWIW, I cancelled this weekend. Maybe one of you will get yours a day earlier now.

    They have this concept now where a group of businesses called retailers stock their stores locally with computers. You can go right up to the store, pick out a computer and take it home with you that day. No waiting! What a concept, what a country!

    I'm saying this a tad premature, maybe, but- I just got off the automated line, and it said my status was in "boxing". Now I understand what that means, but to verify it further I just chatted with a rep, and she said this-"I did check the order details and found that your order is in the last few stages of shipping.Your order is estimated to be shipped out in the next 2 -3 business days."- Not trying to upset people that have been waiting a lot longer-and not sure if it's true-but hopefully! :spinny:

    I think everyone with the Anti-Glare Screen wont even get their laptops. They dont even offer that screen anymore. And thats bad. Ill just go without a computer I guess. I want 25% back If I get delayed again. Because this is costing me money...I have to rent a computer.

    Mine still says "in production". I've been told by 3 CSR's that it will ship on or before Sept 7th. But I have a hard time believing it.

    I'm still in boxing according to the automated order status number and according to email I received yesterday my system is completely built and will ship out in 2-3 days. Today I received email stating that due to "unforseen circimstances" my order has been delay until 9/5 and I had to call and confirm that I still wanted it. When I got home from work today there was a phone message from I woman I could barely understand who told me that my order will ship on 8/31. I'm sooooo confused :confused:

    ok, finally I am in testing. I think I might be getting it this Friday if I luck out with quick boxing. How long does the boxing take usually?

    I think finally some reds are coming along.

    I just checked and my laptop has shipped. The carrier and tracking information is still unavailable. They only thing that has me worried is that it shows it shipped today with an estimated delivery of 9/3 to 9/5. I got upgraded to next business day. :confused: I want it NOW, but at least it has shipped.

    Here's hoping you guys get good news too! :)

    I'm stickin in here too. Was told 3 different stories today. In production, testing, and boxing. All in different order too, LOL- not been waiting as long as you-so don't mean to post this to upset you, but I'm waiting too.

    My Ruby Red arrived at the DHL facility in Tyler, TX at 8:03 am today. I am having it delivered at my work place which is about 40 miles from Tyler. DHL usually delivers here before noon. I am so excited :D

    My inspiron still says "in production" and "in build stage". Ordered 8/8/07. ESD is still 9/7/07.

    But my digital camera and photo printer finally shipped! Dell's website says it'll be here today. But DHL's website says 9/4. hmmmmm

    Still nothing....I have no idea what stage im in because its been in build for 36 days. I have no words to type anymore. I try not to obsess and be on here because it just makes me more upset. I will not order a computer ever again. Ill build my own. At least I know I am capable of building a computer ( even a laptop ) within 36 days.

    Dell only missed their shipping date by...ahhh...17 days and counting.

    However...it has an EDD of "9/4-9/6"....?? Looks like that free next day shipping isn't doing me a whole lot of good.

    I got $75 credit....supposedly AFTER I recieve the damn thing. I have to call to have it refunded to my Visa. Is that what happend to you with your compensation?

    At this point all I want is credit for depreciation. Every delay I want $25. Is that not resonable?

    Yeah I definately hear you on the depreciation factor.

    Mine was actually a $100 coupon for future purchases. Just found out today that I have to use the entire coupon at once, too, and the purchase MUST exceed the $100 value of the coupon.

    I'm off to the Sony Style Store in about 30 minutes to pick up a Vaio CR190 in "Sangria".

    I'm also done with Dell. Never again.

    Since they seem to be able to ship laptops ordered after mine with the same configuration, I'm done. My kid leaves for school next Saturday and I'm not going to sit around hoping that they actually hit this date. They can choke on the dang thing as far as I'm concerned.

    And everyone that I know (and I normally tell people to look at Dell first) will know how bad they suck.

    Mr. Dell will be getting a copy of the receipt for my new Sony, along with a copy of the original order from Dell. Not that I expect him to respond, but maybe somebody over there will understand that they are losing customers in droves.

    My order shipped today. Do you guys think I will get it tomorrow? Do they deliver on Saturdays (its next day shipping, 09/05 ESD and 09/06 EDD)?

    I have a feeling I got robbed. If not tomorrow, I will get it on Tuesday because of labor day weekend.
