    plus something else to ask yourself, how many of you would tolerate Best Buy taking 2 months + to get you what you paid for? I am willing to bet just about none of you. So consider it Dell's way of paying you for waiting so long. I personally believe Dell should knock some money off every one of the 1330 orders that gets delayed more then once. Especially on a XPS system where the service is supposed to be gold compared to what we got.

    There is a HUGE difference between buying from a brick and mortar place and buying online. Bestbuy will never customize anything for you, dell does. Bestbuy does carry inventory, dell does not. Bestbuy is right here in your hometown, dell is not, not to mention few people have waited much more than a month to begin with.
    Not a great comparison, would you wait that long for a C90S?

    I understand that it is different, but I intentionally chose Best Buy. It was to show that there is no way whatsoever you would tolerate that from them, and yes you can order laptops customized from them. The HP, Compaq, and Sony laptops I know for sure, I used to sell them for best buy. And actually Dell is right here in my town(i'm not in my hometown, much love for Dayton, OH), they have a kiosk setup at the mall. They have inventory, the guy could just send me home with the display :D. I was simply trying to say that because of price we let Dell do more then we would elsewhere, and if we have to wait longer, then we should be entitled to some kind of compensation for not packing up our bags from dell and heading to best buy for the HP equivalent, or as close as you can get.

    I think a better comparison would be something like a wedding dress. There's an understanding that it does take time to actually make the dress. Anything custom made is going to take time to make. As they say, "You can have something good, fast, and cheap -- pick two."

    Most people would wait 2-4 weeks for a customized laptop from bestbuy, 2-4 weeks is about the average for a notebook from dell. 1330's are an exception and if they are delayed multiple times i guarantee they DO get compensation if they ask for it.

    You said Dell does have inventory, of TV's. What does that have to do with systems?!?
