    Hi, welcome to the forums.

I think the answer is on the first post on this very thread??? I can understand that people do not read the stickies and do not search for information because they're in a hurry, but not reading the 1st post of the very same thread they're posting in, that's taking it to the next level. :D

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=269794#winxp

PS: I have checked and unfortunately the download link for the WiFi drivers is no longer working. If you had already checked that and that's what you meant with your message, then you have my apologies.

Ken, perhaps you could update the link in your XP guide?

In that case my apology applies. I suppose there should be a way on the Intel Website to search for a suitable driver for your card, without using that link? I cannot give precise suggestions since I have never done this.

Do you have 3GB of RAM in your system? If so, then that may be the cause for which the GPU is not recognized.

Remove some of that RAM, install the video drivers, and then reinsert it. Non-hardware solution: disable some root ports, see my W7Sg install guide for details; the generic procedure will apply to you as well.

You can download the latest nVidia graphic drivers, it seems nowadays they have specific drivers for laptops. No need for modding any longer :)

    I don't think so...but you can trying with.."Speed FAN"

ASUS G70 have 2 Fans, one for CPU and Chipset, and one for Graphic System.

The majority of notebooks won't work with speedfan.
The one program that I had sucess in manually changing the fan speed is with I8kfanGUI.

Hi I had this laptop for almost a year albeit it having the T9300 processor. I would like to know if there are any recommended overclocking speeds for the Dual 8700m GT SLI. I would also like to know if its possible to clean the fans inside the laptop.

I read a review done by GenTech on a 8700m GT single card which he overclocked with RivaTuner. So I'm guessing it could be done but I'm not sure about the speeds which it can be done to.

I think it can be done.

Wow, now that i look back at it, my god. 8700GT SLI got 8300 3dmark 06 and now my single 9800GTS gets 8750. That is stock too, i never attempted to overclock. My CPU or GPU.

I have justed picked one of these up for £600.00 brand new to replace my ACER.

I always go for older models and I know that there are newer better models out there but I was looking for something that is fast and powerful enough to run Windows 7 and im drawn in from the looks.

I understand that the GPU is not the best however from the 3DMarks 06 im currently getting 3500 and this is hitting near 9000?

I reckon I can get £300 back for my current model can anyone who is using this at the moment with Windows 7 let me know what it runs like with games today.

The OLED is controlled by the Direct Console 2 facility. I notice your using Windows 7 64 bit the same as me and you need this installed however when you try it mentioned it is only for Vista.

To fix this run the setup from your Drivers disc under the compatability mode of Windows Vista SP2 or SP3 and it will then allow you to Install Direct Console 2.
