No keyb problems here, only a strange clicking richt cntrl button but apart from that no issues with the keyb. It is and feels solid on my unit
-
@jezzer, are you sure your keyboard is alright? Your spelling is quite wrong.
-
Thanks for the confirmation, jezzer.
Sucks that you got a faulty machine. I hope you can get the problem sorted out. -
Np Rhinosaur, i wish i could trade my good keyb for a good screen and powermanagement
@nfshp253 U really have nothing of interest to say except that? FYI if u gonna say stuff about spelling make sure u spell correct yourself lol. It is All Right and not alright. alright is a non standard abbrev. and not accepted as standard english. So if u gonna flame about spelling, spell right your self. -
Hello, just bought the G51JX-X2. Any suggestions on a good cooling/chill pad for it? I checked the front page but didn't see it. Oh, I did search some other threads and some people were drilling holes and such but I don't want to do that lol. Thanks!!!
-
If all you do is post messages here and browse the internet then I agree with you on this however if you are a gamer then there are many reasons to do Graphics driver updates! Most Nvidia drivers are really trouble free when upgrading and over the years I have never had issues when going to a newer version on a desktop or laptop. I say there really isn't a reason not to do an update. On games, newer Nvidia drivers not only give you many speed increases in games but also have numerous bug fixes. To each his own I guess.
-
As of today i am recommending every gamer to not buy this machine. If u use it to browse the internet or to encode video then its nice due to the CPU and RAM but for gaming u will get really dissapointed.
Biggest issue is this AUO15ED screen that is used. The viewing angle is so bad that when gaming and using alot of colors and darkones u ALLWAYS will have color distortion in the corners. The only way to solve that is to almost CLOSE the lid but then the massive bleed ruins every color!
So when u game u have to choose between distorted image and so miss certain viewing spots when gaming or play with ruined colors with a white bleed haze over them.
ASUS says this can not be fixed lol! They sugest to refund the notebook because they can only replace the screen with the same and every AOU screen has that.. LOL!
Now i understand why every one flames this notebook and some don't. The ones that do use this thing for what it is ment for, gaming. And it sucks.
The ones that do not flame this note book are just using it for encoding or MAC .
IF need a laptop for gaming, do NOT buy this one. The GPU has problems with gaming when the CPU is on load and the screen has major color issue's.
If someone says it does not, don't believe them. I can provide confirmed emails from ASUS that these are problems with these units wich cannot be solved!
Bye ASUS u are going to be refunded. -
I mention this because at another forum I frequent, the EVGA.com boards for EVGA motherboards and graphics/video cards, there was an extensive incident last year where an updated nVidia driver wreaked havoc with a lot of machines, running all sorts of EVGA and nVidia cards, disabling some of them, and causing widespread corruption of their OS, if not having to Clean Install to solve the issue...this I witnessed myself, and thanks to God I did not update to that version of nVidia driver. In fact I will recall that the driver update caused physical damage to some of the computers, first time I'd ever heard of it, but it did happen and that made me just that much more conservative when it comes to updating a perfectly good working driver on my computers.
I don't just have one computer, I have 12 at home fyi, for all of your reference from this point on...many types, and some are quite valuable, so I am doubly conservative with them. I don't just own laptops, I build custom computers from boxes of parts for one, and I also own Macs, several of those for your reference from now on. Rex doesn't just own a couple laptops, I've got a whole stable of PC's and Linux computers for a Folding@Home project that I work with Stanford University on. Here is my Foldin@Home project, for all of you to see, and if you know anything about it I am putting out a TON of points for a single individual with a private group of computers!
rexrzer - User Summary - EXTREME Overclocking Folding @ Home Stats
Anyway, please don't let me interrupt the discussion of this laptop, which is the purpose of this thread, it's simply that I take notice with a newbie coming in here and telling me that I simply post and web surf in this column...that is a little presumptuous not to mention rude! I play a host of games when I have the time, and I have not noticed anyone posting a fair advantage in a given game here for updating the nVidia drivers in their system, just as always this is the case!
As for the other discussions tonight, Mr.jezzer should have long ago sent in that laptop he got, which seems to have major problems, but he continues to post here about it and it is NOT typical of these G51 laptops to have problems like he does, it's the exception! Don't let his posts cloud the truth, and that's what they are beginning to sound like...like he wants to take down the good reputation of the laptops with continuing bad post Karma, and I for one am getting sick of it.
Mr. jezzer, either take your present line of posts out of this Forum and deal with the problems you have with Asus, or please don't post here about your laptop any more because it is NOT a normal thing to have a bad viewing angle, or any of the other problems that you purport to have. GET YOUR G51 FIXED and stop posting here about it! My "viewing angle" is perfect with my LCD display, and so is the same for everybody else here in the Forum! If you have a problem with that, it's because your machine is sub-standard and needs to be either replaced or repaired, your choice!
These are fantastic laptops, and there is no reason for one member with a problematical G51 to take down the reputation of high quality that 99% of us enjoy with our laptops. When there is a problem we deal with them here, but we cannot deal with a machine whose owner refuses to GET IT FIXED! OK, I've said enough about it, because I am wasting my time here right now posting about something that everybody should simply overlook at this time...Mr. jezzer's posts are NOT representative of the normal experience with a G51JX laptop, end of discussion, and story, and I hope that's the last we hear from him until and if he gets his laptop repaired or replaced.
I hope to be able to spend some time here on the weekend, as I have been very busy with my work for the past couple of days and have hardly read a thing here, but tonight's posts got me riled up a little, and you'll have to excuse me for being a little sensitive about certain things, thank you very much!
Have a good Friday and Thursday nice people with the G51JX laptops, and I'll see you on the weekend... -
Well like i said, ASUS confirmed my problems and also confirmed these problems can not be solved! So i cannot get it repaired as all these units have these issue, that's what ASUS sais.
Now like i said, gamers will flame this notebook and non gamers will not. Because the flaws mostly come at light when gaming.
Let me guess, u are not using this notebook primary for playing high end games right?
U are not a gamer who bought this notebook especially for gaming right?
That is why u are not bordered by the bad viewing angle. If u use the notebook for other purposes u won't have much issues with it. But it IS a gaming notebook.
What is your screen? It is also an AUO15ED right?
Try googling it, it is a bad screen with issues on all units.
U say no one on this forum has these issues? The AUO15ED screen has been used in previous ASUS models
And there alot of complaints
http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/410965-my-g51vx-a1-screen-6.html
People are replacing the screen at their own costs, now that says enough or not? So pls do not say i am the only one on this forum.
I bought this for gaming, it is high-end but the screen is low-end except from the resolution
ASUS does not use other parts only this one so it can only be replaced by the same screen with the same issue. That is what ASUS says so that is what i am sayin here and people are entitled to know that.
Because i am listing bad things about this notebook i should not post it?
Only post good things so people will buy it and get really dissapointed? No way, also the bad things should be posted when it is the truth.
I am not trying to bring this notebook down, i am just telling the truth and anyone is entitled to the truth.
Sorry to say but now u really sound like a fanboy that is trying to stop people finding out the bad stuff about this machine. Because what i am saying is based on facts.
Like i said. Gamers leave this notebook alone. If u are not a gamer and need to encode stuff this is a nice option.
When playing games it is important to have good fluent colors and that u can see every part of the screen without parts becoming negative or with a half screen of white washed colors. -
i duno Rex i didn't like the 197.16 drivers. I'm running 620/1660/2100 and when i downgraded to 197.16 from 258.96 and my Nvidia driver crashed 2 times in 3h running F@H. with 259.69 my comp was running 24/7 for over 60+ WU completed solid at 75 c .

So having planted that stake in the ground...:
It is one thing to say that there are better screens in the market. Probably true. It's another to say that this screen is unworthy of a gaming rig. I beg to differ. I thoroughly enjoy this powerhouse of a gaming rig (which you don't deny, I know), and I think the screen is far better than just adequately doing the gaming job as you seem to suggest by stating that "the screen is low-end except from the resolution".
This forum is quite active, and have a look through it, no mention of screen issues. So I guess it could be coincidence, therefore I did what you suggested and took the trouble to google (and bing) the screen AUO15ED. I find a handful of gripes, nothing at all that looks like a massive problem, especially since you were so kind to point out this screen has been used before in other ASUS products.
So in conclusion, I find that Rexerzr727 has a point, that your comments are less than nuanced, and not supported by facts.
Let me summarize like this:
I'm a rational person that does in-depth research before buying something, and I've simply seen no reason to doubt my earlier decision to buy this computer for gaming, to date.
I would advice gamers to ignore the advice from Jezzer, and consider this gaming monster! -
I game on mine, BC2 TF2 CS:S SC2 etc ... and I don't find the screen being such a problem. Yes the viewing angle might be a little suckish, but hey just a little adjustment on the screen and tilt it a bit, and problem solve.
-
Unfortunatly I can still not find turbo mode : (
It is in my understanding its suppose to be some kind of drop down box when you put on High Performance, I dont have that -
And that screen angle makes no sence because my screen doesn't do that at all -
OK i uninstalled P4G 1.25 and reinstalled....
The Current BIOS does not support Overclock feature.

Is it possible for you to type a 2-4 sentence reply? I can't even bring myself to read all of your response! Newbie, yes I was a newbie back in the mid 80's with my first PC. I see, I'm a newbie on this forum so my opinions and experience mean nothing. Oh please, who cares! I have no idea how you use your laptop and never once implied YOU use it any certain way! You obviously are the kind of person who thinks he knows EVERYTHING there ever was to know about the computers and easily discounts everyone elses opinions. I'm happy the way I use my computer and it works well with gaming and for my purposes. Why don't you give other people in this forum a chance to post without trying to completey dominate every post and other peoples opinions! I don't care that you didn't ask for my opinion but you got it anyway! I have to listen to your ramblings with almost every other post! My god do I have to actually post benchmarks for various games to show fps and visual improvements due to different driver versions? This has been well documented from people who know much more about computers than you. I'm now sure you will come up with some 5000 word excuse that I have no idea what I'm talking about and you couldn't possibly be wrong!
-
Seems I posted in the middle of a heated debate Well can yall tell me what cooling pad you use personally to reduce the heat
-
good for me, because it shoots air up
but w/e you do don't get those freakin cooling pads that blow air to the bottom because some are made that way so make sure to double check that before buying, you don't want to end up strangling your laptop for air -

Hey All,
Havent posted in a while, and seems I am about to post in the middle of someones flame. I am another here who totally agrees that this asus is AWESOME for gaming. Good luck finding a better value machine. Sorry Jezzer.
Now, to sound like a hypocrite.
I have just noticed an issue where when on battery mode my gpu performance takes a massive hit. Furmark test shows differences of 33fps ac power, to 6fps battery powered. Does not depend on settings because this is just representative. Everest is also showing drops in gpu, shader and memory speeds.
I am aware the graphics power is scaled down on battery mode, but in the Nvidia control panel i have disabled adaptive power management and assumed this would fix all. Also p4g is all setup sweet.
Have I just not noticed this because I rarely have my machine unplugged? Probably, but does anyone have any idea how to keep graphics performanced MAXXED at all times?
Does anyone have any pointers to possible simple fixes that i may have overlooked?
Thanks All
p.s. i should really start posting here more often again.
p.p.s. nvidia drivers are latest, bios is only 204... yes i know im lazy -
My notebook never overheated when I didn't have a cooling pad, I just bought one to make sure it never happened, and mines just a single fan, and it works great....
I don't think you'd need one of thoses unless your laptop fan was broke or something(And if it was you'd better repair it) -
FYI, with battery mode and all performance features shut off, I can pull at least 2-3hours on a 6 cell at school (no gaming) -
does anyone know where i can get the sound blaster audigy software or drivers that come with the g51jx-a1? i removed them and want to reinsalled it but im not sure what to download
thanks =D -
found them it on the asus cd
=) -
although most are out of date (Like the CD) but they work -
If you didnt have the G51jx and were getting a new laptop would you buy the G51Jx?
How do you think its gonna do with Black Ops? -
I think it will do fine for Black Ops... because it can pretty much play any game out now with either maxed or reasonable settings
I can't really be sure about that assumption because I usually play RTS games and they arn't really hard on graphics i.e StarCraft II hasn't been out for long and this laptop was released the beginning of this year?? well it can play starcraft II on maxed settings.....
Still I believe it will run Black Ops.... If your still unsure about the G51Jx-A1 being able to run it, then your probably going to need to look for a more stationary laptop (Desktop Laptop) G70 series -
STill need the above quote answered -
I am gonna try new drivers! How about that? Even though ginnipig's post is the only one that suggested that v197.16 is lacking in performance that is enough for me to risk my present *stability* and *performance*, which is 10,647 DMarks in 3DMark06 testing, and overall significantly high FPS in COD:WAW, GTA:IV, GTA: Vice City (and the other legacy GTA games which I have in abundance), Crysis, 3D Ultra Pinball (and other arcade games, which I also have +10 of), and similar games, which I haven't had a chance to play all week because of work demands...
So here I go, I'm going to update my G51JX-A1 to BIOS v207, and the latest nVidia drivers (whatever they happen to be) later tonight after I get home from work on this Friday the 13th (still at work now), and by George it gives me something to look forward to with my Asus G51 laptop!
As to the other posts in the thread the past couple of days...Mr. jezzer is hopefully long gone, and good riddance! I wonder if he actually ever *HAD* a G51 laptop upon looking back at his posts...I mean it all seems too suspect to me, the whole enchilada from his "found upgrades" of a 3G network card, to the posts about everything possible being wrong with his laptop...I simply found it all very contrite and ill-conceived, and why anybody would continue to post on and on and on about something that needed to be sent in to Asus for repair or replacement is beyond me! :confused2:
Well, enough about that...I am sorry that *some members* here take exception to my wordy and often long-winded posts, but that is the nature of my writing, sorry to say! :rolleyes2: Some people are simply more inclined to type, compose, and write at the keyboard like I am, and I am not going to apologize for it...my work is writing, I write professionally, and take great exception to someone with a difficulty of either attention deficits or other issues with a lengthy post/postings, because I often have a lot to say about a given issue, and I try to be thorough and in depth with my responses rather than just touch on some small part of a topic and let it be.
OK, on to bigger and better things...if people cannot find Turbo and Extreme Turbo in the P4G Control Panel there's something amiss somewhere, because all of us with the G51JX-A1 have this option, and it IS only in the "popup" in the Control Panel that the selection is possible...it doesn't happen any other way! Perhaps you have a different model? Do you have the nVidia GTS-360M video card, and the Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6Ghz CPU? Have you Clean Installed the OS and utilities, drivers, and software? Did you forget something important in that installation?
I don't know what else to suggest because all of us with the G51JX-A1 can select Turbo and Extreme Turbo easily in the P4G CP, without exception AFAIK. Please check out your computer and make sure it's the same model the thread is dedicated to, por favor...and if that is the case, ie if you have a different model laptop there's the explanation already laid out for you...if you have the correct model laptop please go through my Clean Install Guide and check out that you have not left out something important during any Clean Install session, and report back here, thank you!
As for any other controversies or issues, please feel free to comment about them because we are here to help you figure things out...personality defects and personal problems aside, of course. As for my posts and their length et al, you always have the option to NOT READ THEM!
Have a nice evening, and can't we all just get along! -
Thats wat the site said, thats wat the store manager said,
Never done a clean install, might do it anyway just to get rid of unnecesary programs... -
PLease do disregard the above post because I just put on the new BIOS 207, and I reinstalled thE p4g and there it was Turbo Mode
Thx Rex -
EMERGENCY POST PLEASE NOTE WITH ALL DUE CAUTIONS:
DO NOT UPDATE TO BIOS V.207!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me make this as clear as I can quickly, and please those of you who have updated to the v207 BIOS it is best if you REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY and go back to v206 BIOS, per Asus Tech Support direct, to me, after much carnage and a very, very unpleasant evening with Asus Tech Support on the telephone.
BIOS v.207 will render your BLUETOOTH INOPERABLE and your machine will have to be returned to ASUS SERVICE for a new motherboard BlueTooth Chip/Module.... You CANNOT repair this damage!!!!!!!!
My G51 is already boxed up and ready for shipment tomorrow, Saturday FedEx Red Label Overnight, to Fremont, CA, fixed on Monday 8/16/2010, then back to me on Tuesday 8/17/2010, FedEx Overnight Red Label Shipping, all on Asus!!
They are soooo embarrassed by this miscue-- you'll have no idea about it until you talk to somebody at Asus Central after your BlueTooth has been destroyed 100%, like me! I am soooo PISSED about this! I will never, ever update my BIOS if it's an Asus product unless they prove to me that is it SAFE and SECURE, not like this messed up v.207 BIOS!
I wondered why my BT wasn't working after the BIOS update, and you will wonder too! Because it destroys the BT module itself, and you cannot recover it! Any BIOS updating to v.207 results in this problem if BT was active at the time of BIOS updating. If your BT was not active it should be OK, but please check it out and see if BT works in your G51JX!!!!!!
If it does not, and you cannot see the BT Module in Device Manager, the damage has already been done, and your G51 will have to be returned to Asus Central, wherever it is depending on where you live, to have the motherboard pulled and the BT module replaced by Asus Service/Tech Support!!
This is no joke! This is real, honest to goodness Bad JUJU from Asus on Friday the 13th of August! I was shocked when they told me the problem existed and was now documented with many BT failures today and yesterday --there are dozens of G51's coming back to Asus Service/Tech Support for motherboard pulling, and BT Module replacement, if not motherboard replacement, too!
If you have updated to v.207 BIOS please check your Bluetooth out, and see if it works, if you can see the BT Module in Device Manager...if you cannot, the damage is done, and you are to immediately contact Asus Tech Support and get the repair scheduled! It is mandatory! It will not be saved by any BIOS retrofit to v.206 if your BT was active at the time of the BIOS Flash! Sad, but true... bad JUJU from Asus Tech Support!
I could not believe that they would be so stupid as to post a bad BIOS, but they have in fact done just that...now you can all see why I am sooooooo conservative when it comes to BIOS updating, with motherboards, and with Video Cards, both of them!! DAMAGE CAN BE DONE by the smallest of things!!
And this proves how stupid people can be at the top of power at a big and sophisticated company like Asus Computer!
I am soooo Pissed about this I could just about scream BLOODY MURDER!!!
I will never trust them again with any BIOS update!
rexrzer727 - goes on record tonight and says that Asus cannot be trusted with BIOS updates! Buyer Beware--They will RUIN YOUR NOTEBOOK!!!Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -
i dont have integrated bluetooth so no problem for me
you can also easily downgrade to 206
just start winflash with Winflash /nodate
the weird thing is they still have 207 update on pages...
and is there someone with service manual for this notebook? -
no ideas on why the graphics is taking such a hit in battery saver?
rex thats horrible and even after all your hard earned trust of this laptop and the work asus have put into it. that must have been a real hard task. -
My bluetooth is still working though.
-
I updated through the EZ Flash utility in the BIOS setup. My Bluetooth still works. That still sucks tho, Rex.
-
Maybe because I updated through EZ Flash. I knew from experience never to trust Windows-based BIOS installers. Had bad experiences with a Compaq last time which didn't actually brick even though it failed the BIOS install.
-
Hi, I'm looking to finalize my purchase of a G51Jx this afternoon, but I have one question for which I could not find the info and I've looked everywhere. I travel to Australia a lot from North America and I was wondering if someone could confirm to me that the power bar does indeed handle voltage changes from 110 to 220? In other words, I'm looking to confirm that I will only need to have a prong converter to charge the laptop in Australia.
-
marcroussy, I've always thought that all laptops handle 110 and 220 voltage out of the box! Are you sure that this is not the case?
I might be mistaken, since I've never investigated the matter in-depth. However, I've never had problems with computers during my travels. For the record, I live in a 110 country and have traveled to Europe and Asia on several occasions, with different computers. -
Yeah, it's what I thought as well, I was just hoping someone could actually confirm it. Thanks!
-
207 bios BT still works, was transferring file from my computer to my phone. bad luck for you rex.
-
Holy z rex so sry about your lost....
My bluetooth wasn't affected because I uninstalld mine, so it was never on in the beginning (Reason for Uninstalling was stupid BT tray not working messages)
Even if my bluetooth did get recked i don't care because im not a BT person...
Sry for your lost, hope it doesn't shatter your trust in the G51Jx-A1
Hope you get a new one soon -
The BIOS has been pulled by Asus Taiwan, but it will take a day or two for it to happen in all markets, in all web sites, according to Sadiq, the Asus Tech Support Supervisor who handled the situation for me last night @ about 10PM PST. When he finished with my case he advised that mine was the 3rd laptop with the v.207 BIOS he had personally handled last night with BT failure after BIOS updating. There were other incidents before his shift, he said, and that there was a company-wide e-Memo to all agents/supervisors about the BIOS being bad, and the problem it causes with BlueTooth failure.
The strange thing is that BlueTooth is a hardware and software feature, with 3rd-party drivers (Broadcomm), and what happens to the system is the drivers get overwritten by a BIOS component, which shuts down the BT module, and it cannot be "reset" once it's shut down, Sadiq told me: they can only REPLACE the BT module and the motherboard with new, fresh parts, then Flash with BIOS v.206 which solves the problem. CRAZY!
The really sad part about the whole fiasco is that my G51JX-A1 has been perfect since I got it, and I mean it's been a Swiss Watch of a computer. I could not have been more pleased with its performance, features, and ability at both gaming and multi-media...and now it looks like the crapshoot begins: I can only hope and pray that the technician that works on my notebook will know what he is doing, and that the problems will be solved 100% the 1st time, and that I won't have to follow this service up with more of the same.
I was lucky with my 1st Asus Service visit, which was for 2 (two) bad RAM SODIMM modules in my UL30VT-X1 notebook (both failed out of the blue, dead as a doornail, and had to be replaced), and the tech that worked on my notebook did a very nice, complete job, replacing both SODIMMs without altering my HD, without re-writing my Clean Install back to the Stone Age as can happen, and the notebook was returned to me in just 5 business days, a short, quick and xlnt service. In addition they cleaned and polished the notebook to better than new condition, using some type of special proprietary cleaner/polish on the LCD display, and there wasn't even a fingerprint on the notebook when I received it--it looked amazing, and I was 100% pleased with Asus Tech Support's work.
With this Bluetooth module failure by bad BIOS I have no idea what is going to happen, and it remains to be seen if Asus will repair it correctly the 1st time, if my notebook will be returned to me quickly, 100% fixed, so I am not holding my breath about it! It is one thing to be promised an by Asus, Taiwan Supervisor that things will go well with a service like this, and it's quite another to actually go through the whole process with Asus Fremont, CA Tech Support facility, so we shall see how things go from here.
If nobody else in our group has experienced Bluetooth failure from this BIOS it goes to show that as a feature it isn't used by everybody, while I use it every time I use the notebook in my home studio, ie a Logitech V470 BT Mouse is my pointing instrument 100% of the time. In fact each one of my notebooks has a dedicated V470 BT Mouse, even the UL30VT-X1, my travel notebook has one which I use in most situations...except for when I travel in a plane, of course, that's when I use the trackpad. I also use BT for file transfer with the UL30VT-X1 at work (with my desktop there), so it's a feature that I use a lot.
I guess it's my turn to get disappointed by Asus, I mean who could have guessed that a BIOS update would cause Bluetooth failure? That is pretty much "off the wall" and unpredictable in and of itself, not something that happens every day...in fact I've never heard of anything like it in my experience with desktops or notebooks, it's a first with some 40+ years of experience with all types of computers.
Now the game shifts to Asus Fremont, CA Tech Support facility--in a week or two I'll post an update about what happened with this situation, and whether Asus came through and fixed my notebook back to 100% functionality with BT and all features working the way that they should be working. It's been a fantastic notebook up to this crazy thing happening, and I can only hope and pray that I get a good tech up at Asus Fremont that repairs the G51 back to perfect status, the way it was before this BIOS update ruined my notebook. -
Really sad to hear about your circumstance, rexrzer727. So did you put back the original HDD and ODD before shipping your laptop for repair? The BT module on me isn't damaged by the BIOS update so I presume the BIOS can be kept there and I don't need to reflash 206?
-
Hey Rex... you sure this BIOS is bad for everyone..
Because I read that you use a BT Mouse correct? well my father has one, so just to run a test i reinstalled my bluetooth driver and tryed it out and it worked fine.... could it be that this problem doesn't happen to everyone? -
Ah right and does anyone know some good stickers for the back... because Ill be going to school in september and I have to use this laptop in one of my tech courses (Mandatory that I have a laptop main reason for buying) and I dont want those fricken lights showing.... its a great laptop and all but are the lights really necessary, there should be an option to turn them off
-
It's rated from 100-240V =) -
ah fudge.... well I hadnt experienced any BSODS.... for awhile well just hit another one frick... im going to do a clean install.... the bsods seem to only happen when I play games for a long time so it could have something to do with my graphics card (crys) except I don't believe its a hardware isssue
because it would have said so, instead its bad pool caller meaning I got a bad software on my computer welll later, when i do clean install ima run starcraft II all day and seem if the bsod returns if it does u guys wont here from me for awhile because ill be sending my laptop in to asus in toronto -
great -_- turbo boost driver won't install. says the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running
also says that for bluetooth and on top of that, I can't get the cam to work anymore, his has just been a frustrating... -
I've decided if I manage to get another bluescreen, Im going to use Windows 7 Ultimate because its never given me any prblems with drivers designed for the OS... like this one is, its stupid I used the Drivert disc due to the fact that I couldn't get the Card Reader Driver installed with I did a clean installed and yet the driver disc has gottne it instaled.... like ?
Manually going through and deletin unnecessary programs I.E Control deck
will keep yu posted
