I did this too, added exactly those little heat sinks. Be careful, mine fell off eventually. They're sitting upside down and that self adhesive does not hold. I had to open it again and zip-tied everything.

Depending on the wifi chip that was in yours originally, i managed to upgrade my 9560 wifi AC card to the intel ax201 wifi AX card. I believe you may also need to check the compatibility of your cpu to the wifi chip though, i have the 9980hk in my g703gxr which is compatible

Howdy. Where did you get the ax201 Wi-Fi card for your G703GXR? I've looked on eBay and Amazon, but want to make sure I get the right card. A lot of them say for a Dell, HP, or an ASUS Vivobook. Where did you get your card? Thanks in advance!!

Hihi, where i am in New Zealand, asus/msi/some other brands all use one shop to do all their service and warranty work, it is from this shop that i bought the chip and upgraded it myself. I had also double checked with them that in fact this card worked before attempting the upgrade.

i have an issue with newer games such as resident evil 7 and village and halo infinite where sometimes in turbo mode, the gpu usage hits 100 percent and the frame rate drops down alot for up to a minute, idk if its the games if its that many different games. thoughts? i7-9750hq is screaming bloody murder at 100c in halo infinite

also, i cant seem to reset my pc to default, is that normal for these things?

When you play a game and the use of the processor is high, this game depends mainly on the processor more than the graphics card, and therefore in laptops, I recommend using liquid metal for processors, except for the H class of them, because their energy consumption is simple in this category of processors and often it is not dedicated to gaming

so how long til it would need to be reapplied? and hopefully this solves my issue, because it seems even in games i used to play, theres a lag spike where the frame rate drops for up to a minute... something definitely developed over time

ok, ill take your advice from before then and get some kryonaut and the heatsinks as well, so once it all comes in, ill have fresh heatsink addons, fresh thermal compound for the gpu and its components surrounding, and new liquid metal for the cpu. hopefully thats all i need for a fresh temp management

Hi, I have Asus G703GXR and currently having some issues with the laptop:

    1. Sound Popping - major sound popping from speakers during games, movies. I measured DPC Latency and ACPI.SYS is the driver with high execution, which often relates with battery, power management issues.

    2. Vibrating touchpad and keyboard buttons when playing sound - the speaker system sounds very good but it makes the keys vibrate when playing sounds, usually between 400 - 500 Hz. It happens during games, movies, music and the higher the volume the more buzzing from vibrating keys is heard. When the key is vibrating and I press it the vibration stops. I realise the way to solve this issue is somehow to isolate the speakers so the vibrations wont be affecting the entire laptop so badly.

    3. Static noise when moving mouse - it get's solved by turning the C1E function off using Throttlestop. I need to unlock BIOS of this laptop so I can tinker with all the power management settings.

    4. Screen bezel bottom side is not sticking close to the panel in bottom corners. The middle of the bottom bezel is pressing against the screen creating a fair amount of backlight bleed. When I pull the bezel off the screen the bleed disappears so I need to remove the screen bezel completely so I can adjust it and find out what's making the pressure points. Anyone able to send some pointers on how to do it? There are no screws and the bezel seems to be held in place by clips.

    5. Triple raid setup - I had it done but the process is very gimmicky. The driver for raid gets loaded by Windows installer but the installer often does not see one drive. It sees 3 single 512 GB drives or even 2 of them. Also I think the triple raid might be the cause for sound popping as 2 of those 3 drives are connected to CPU and maybe it creates some kind of latency that way? Just a thought.

I still have valid warranty for this laptop but I am very sceptical of sending it to the service center as this is a very expensive laptop and Asus is known to outsource their repair service and those companies are often creating a lot of damage not fixing anything.

Anyone have some suggestions? Unlocked BIOS or a guide to do it? Maybe someone with some experience with the laptop can elaborate?

So update, replaced the motherboard and for some reason the laptop works on the power cable, but not on the battery, but shows that it's not charging

Hi, I recently acquired a G703GXR but it's been updated to the latest bios so I lost the possibility to underclock or change the turbo power via throttlestop, I'd like to know if it's possible to downgrade bios and if someone have the file of an older bios, preferably version 307 wich is the latest to have these features I believe. Also if anyone have an unlocked bios that have memory overclock ability I'm interested into it, thanks

are you sure you are unable to do it? you can turn off overclock lock from bios security and you should be able to do it all again
