    Here's my latest 3dmark06 run, hit 13k.

Looks as though my GPU doesn't want to clock much past 765/1530, my driver crashes during runs at higher clocks.

As for the score I'll keep trying to top jaffas 13751 but I think my CPU might be holding me back a bit. My GPU temps are still solid, never topping 65°C.

Maybe I'll pick up that 920xm I've got my eye on off ebay... :D

@Sgt I've just updated to the same driver you're using. Care to provide me with a screeny of your Afterbuner/EVGA settings so I can cross check them with mine? Perhaps you've just got a beasty card, mine doesn't OC quite as much I'd like. Still I can't really fault this card for gaming, doe's the job and then some!

3dmark06 is more a cpu bias bench, so the cpu has alot to do with the overall score. but thats a really awesome score with the i5.

That's not common for that SSD, which is a firebreather. Both of the random 4K writes are very low, but the sequential writes are low too. They would be fine for a lesser quality drive, but not a C300. Unfortunately, my SSD's are all Intel, so I can't suggest a cure for the moment, but can confirm that there is a problem. I also use the JJB tweaks, which targets primarily the 4K reads and writes, but they don't seem to be working with your setup.

For comparison, here's one of my X25-M benchmarks after the JJB tweaks. Your C300 should blow these numbers away.

Wow.. I dont know if stealth was making a difference but I was freaking out last night when I played BFBC2 and performance just didn't feel right.

So... I completely cleaned drivers, registry and re-installed 10.10e. Ran 3dmark11 again and viola. Much higher score. So the above score is BLEH!

Thanks Rev. I usually only benchmark my gaming settings. Im not one to push as I as it will go. I still wish ABO would fix the PLL for setFSB though for our ICS motherboards. I would love to hit 150 or high fsb and see what the performance would be like.

When I play Assassin's Creed 1, the temperature of my GPU (not OCed) was around 75c. Is it a good temp? Do you know any good guide for OC GTX 460M?

Flame113, first welcome to the forum. This isn't really the place to ask about temps or gaming unless it's directly related to benchmarking. Your temps seem just a bit high for a non overclocked 460m based on the temps we've seen so far. Even running decent overclocks the 460m in both the M15x and M17xR3 seem to stick to the 60's. You may want to consider reapplying the thermal paste and pads if you're comfortable with doing it, if you're not call and tell Dell that your temps are higher than what they should be. Do not mention overclocking at all, just ask if you could have a technician come out to reapply the paste for you to ensure stable low temps. GL and unless it's benchmarking specific post in another portion of the M15x thread from now on ;) If you have a question as to where to post just shoot someone a PM, there's lots of people on here to help.

Guys, I've just benching my M15X, got a dell 5870 in it. However I cant clock higher than 750/1050. I've seen others getting their cards as high as 1000/1200 and in comparison 750/1050 seems very low. I'm running 3D Vantage but as soon as it gets to the first test the screen just goes red and it doesn't go further. Just wondering if anyone knows why

You can prolly go 1100 on the memory or a little bit higher. I could never get 1200 in mine, max stable enough to bench was 1150.

Nice run Andre I'll try to get the scores updated this week. Anybody that's broken that 10k mark, and especially the 10.2k mark can tell you that a few hundred points doesn't seem like much but it's a lot to gain.

Seems that a stable overclock is better than a high overclock as this 800/1500 run was better than my 825/1450 one. Peace

Hi, can anyone help me how to disable Physx?

In NVIDIA Control Panel/ Set PhysX configuration I can only see Auto-select/GPU/CPU. There is no option to disable it.

If I disable it, how it will affect benchmark score?

I ran 3DMark Vantage last night and got 7886 GPU, 29k CPU. That's weird because I see many ppl here with i7 940XM just got around 21-23k CPU point

Hi Flame, you need to set CPU as the auto-select option. This will disable Physx. You can confirm this by opening up a GPU-Z console and checking the Physx box is un-ticked.

@Rev - is your 820 cpu overclocked as well? I noticed that this go around a little extra FSB did very little for the score.

No, the 820 is strictly stock. I could never get more than about 137 with SetFSB. It was never completely stable and showed very little performance boost, so I abandoned it and stayed stock.

size wise its like 1" longer then the M15x. bareley fits into my old swissgear pegasus backpack. mandrake has a few comparison pics of it in his thread.

haven't tried after burner yet, will do so later, but so far nothing has worked.

i get around 80c on furmark for 10 mins.

during my bench it got around 75c max. but i did repaste and repadded.

I was never really into benching, but now that I put a 5850 in my system I just wanted to give it a try... hope I've done it correctly, I'm a benching noob, lol :D

    Result: 10690

I can't get the clock over 805 without the driver crashing during the benching...well, doesn't really matter, I don't feel the need to flash a different voltage only for benching (at least not yet :D maybe I become addicted, lol)

Maybe I can push the CPU score a little more, hehe.

Very impressive with a stock 5850. You have that 920xm cranking nicely. Try something gentle like 750/1050 or 800/1075 on the 5850. Should give you a nice little kick. O/c'ing the GPU will give you a greater increase from here than going any further with the 920xm, except that your GPU score is very high for a 5850 at 625/1000.

No, sorry, I guess I didn't describe it well enough... it wasn't stock, only stock voltages, like I said, I can't seem to get the core clock over 805 without crashing the driver.

The GPU clocks on this run were 805/1200.
