Once my 5850 dies hopefully I can convince dell to give me a 460M. Of course I'm expecting to pay like an extra 50-100 bucks for it but, I want me some Nvidia lovin'. :D

Btw my GPU seems like it's gonna die any second... even on a 700/1025 overclock I get crashes now. :S Damn black ops made me run at a 860/1050 OC for a month and now it's killed my GPU.

It is not really fair since I dont have an extreme you know lol...

Haaa this card could be OCed further but I fear I was on a heated room will try later ;). It seems that these clevo cards are more powerful than the Dell version XD. Sorry I just noticed that I have physx turned on... I think the gpu score still counts, Ill re-run this later.

You're right, it wouldn't be fair to compare your scores to those produced with an extreme processor, but no one is going to do that. Also correct that Physx needs to be turned off.

@ compa Mexicansnake focus on the core and lower the memory to 1350max that would give you more headroom on the core at least to 825-830

Yep that's weird, I hope they fix this soon. I'll have to revert to the Dell stock drivers if this can't be fixed because I'll have to take this heavy load with me...

Just checked 3D MArk Vantage Score.. I'm hardly getting GPU score around 5000 at resolution of 1920x1080 and ranged at Performance.. MSI Aferburner Overclocked upto 745/1490/1390.. Nvidia version 259.64.. Why is it so low?

Use 3dmark 11 as the default resolution is compatible with the the 1600x900p m15x. Just means all m15x users can compare your scores.

Whats weird is that the 3D Mark 11 site has no benchmarks for that CPU/GPU combo.

I'd think that it would be a pretty common combo

So after my first 460m getting lost in the post, I got another one and ran my first benchmark. Max temps 70C so can probably push higher but the overclock is pretty extreme. The fluctuations are not throttling they are just the feature test runs that I forgot to turn off. No throttling. Will test with 920XM I sent the one in my sig back because it was ES.

Just got furmark to test stability and it seems that 825/1650/1350 is waay to much. Running stable at 812/1625/1250 (core/shader/mem) although running vantage doesn't seem to cause issues so I'm guessing I can push it further but keeping those current clocks for gaming, I think I may have hit the roof as I haven't seen anyone else's clock higher than what I have at the moment but I may be wrong.

@All - Flashed via USB to A09. Has anyone else benchmarked yet? Noticed any increase or decrease?

    {edit} Had to increase voltage of 5850 to 1.05. Now I can run at 775 and surprisingly even at 800 which is a first. Never have done that before stable.. so maybe their is hope here {edit}

Think my 460m was also unstable at 825/1625, it will indeed require a voltage change, the gpu is cool on default volts so it could take more but i think its still best to see what drivers can do before pushing hardware more. Latest drivers gave me massive increase in a few games noticably bfbc2.

@Spoonjaffa -- A way I have benched BFBC2 in the past and communicated to others is to connect via multiplayer to an empty atacama conquest map. Has to be empty. Start fraps logging once you are fully on the map and finished with menu selections. F11 to enable FRAPS logging. Shoot stuff, take a 4 wheeler or tank or whatever across the map. Capture each flag. Throw grenades, whatever. Once you have captured all 3 and I try to keep the time short, then hit F11 again to stop FRAPS logging. Exit and then check your log to see what your MIN MAX and AVG. You can do this with various settings to see impact on game play. Here is what I have found. "Most" of the time, when you play online on a FULL server your frame rates will be within 10-15fps of your minimum. Not the AVG or MAX. So if your numbers in fraps are 65/150/115 most of the time you will hover around 65-80 on a full, online server while playing.

Glad to hear you are getting better performance in BFBC2 with newer drivers.

    Best Wishes, StevenX

Good Luck! It took an extra $50 on our AC bill and probably 40+hours of time for him to get that. Trust me.....my husband disappeared for about 2 weeks trying to achieve that! ;) Also, please don't beat it.......I'll have to buy him ANOTHER M15x just so he can beat you......LOL :D

Ok guys updated the scores finally :D I updated existing scores and added a "Best 3DMark11 Overall" for each GPU. If anyone would like to see any additional sections added for 3DMark11 runs PM me your ideas. If I have missed anyones scores that met the requirements below please PM me and I will update it again. I will be sure to update the scores at least once every 2 weeks if we're getting qualifying bench runs from here on out.

!!NOTE!! A lot of the runs were not included due to lack of a screenshot with the required information:
When posting your benchmarks, please include a screenshot of your final score, along with CPU-Z and GPU-Z in your screenshot alongside your score. This is to verify your information. Without screenshots with the information, scores will not be included in the top 5. If you need an example please reference benchmark links in my sig, or those included in the top scores. If you have questions how to get the screenshots, please PM me and I will explain it. Please refrain from attaching large photos (greater then 500x500) causing slow load times and excessive scrolling, there has been a lot of this that is causing problems on the thread if it happens again and isn't edited I will ask a mod to remove your posts. You can use links to your photos from sites such as imageshack.us. If you have qualified into the top scores, please PM me with a link to your post so that I may link your score in this post.

That would be fun. Might get back into it a little? LOL. Don't really think I've got much left though. This card hits the wall at 900/1100, and more voltage doesn't help. Still, it's fun trying. Ought to be a way to get 10 more Mhz, but think it'll take more than that to hit 10K. Maybe I'll get you two wizards to teach me how.

You all following this Intel Series 6 chip glitch? Design flaw that they estimate will take until April to get fixed and in full production. Apparently means that most Sandy Bridge systems have to stop production until fixed, probably recalls of existing systems. Details not clear yet. Looks like we all of a sudden have more time to consider the next great notebook purchase.

I do need to get around to swapping the 920XM into the M15x and switching the 820QM into the Sager. Something comes up everytime I seriously consider it. Better lay in some new paste and pads. Not going to break any records, but should move my personal bests up a little.

Okey Dokey, full run, hopefully will meet the requirements to get me on the board. No ppu. So close to 10k! Can't seem to get the GPU score past P8600 though. Unfortunately, at extreme overclocks it throttles when the TPL of the xm cpu is high :(

You tried lowering you ram clock a bit, say 25-50mhz and then bumping your core further or have you hit a wall on both at that level? And yeah definitely been following the Cougar Point crap, my R3 gets in today, we'll see how it goes. As long as Intel and Dell don't drag their feet I think I should be fine.

Gotta agree with inap Rev :D ;) , slap that XM in there and get to roastin ;)

You're up there widezu69, gotta admit I'm slightly set back by the difference in the highest 460m benchies with the 5850. I thought the 5850 would stay king but not by that much. Has anybody really pushed them or is this their roof? :(

Well seems to be the roof. I can't game at those clocks. I get slight disco lights at those clocks. Anymore then boom, nvidia crashes but the good thing is I don't need a restart.
