Just ordered my M15X!

yep mines in BARKING to, won't come monday cause of bank holiday so its tuesday! annoying thing is it probably would of come on monday if it weren't for bank holiday but hey at least i know a definite date

 

Damn, I forgot it was a bank holiday, that means I won't be getting any of my other deliveries till Tuesday .

 

mines left barking now in TAMWORTH

 

mines in Runcorn, which isn't too far from where I live, I phoned up to see if I could drive to collect and basically just said "errrrrrr...............................no"

 

rang up UPS and they said the order will be coming 1st September (even though about 4-5 days ago it said: Delivery Date (original) 1/9/10 (updated) 31/8/10 and between 9am & 7pm

 

that better not happen to me! Mine still says it will be delivered tomorrow. The tracker also hasn't updated since it left Tamworth on Saturday.

 

yh mine left Tamworth as well on saturday, btw where do you live, cause i'm still convinced its coming tomorrow cause like i said a couple of days ago it said Delivery Date (original) 1/9/10 (updated) 31/8/10

 

If I were you guys I'd be expecting my laptop to arrive tomorrow, I bet every time you hear a car drive past you'll rush to the window - I know I did lol. Well I live in a small cul-de-sac so I only hear 10 - 20 cars drive past a day, if you live down a busy road then it must be horrible lmao.

 

UPS say wednesday when it should come tuesday considering its only a 3 hour drive away from me, lol i am so confused right now

 

hi...im new to this forum and i just order my m15x bout 2 days ago. i can't wait!!!!!!!!! originally wanted 2 order the m11x since i mostly play DoTA but then needed something with more power since its gonna be my main pc. this is my first gaming pc and a huge step up from my previous pcs (currently an acer L5100- Athlon 2.70GHz,2GB RAM, ati x1250 intergrated graphics :cry: that i have been using for the past 3 years)
btw, if it took on average bout 2 weeks to reach uk/us, how long would it take to reach japan?

 

It totally depends, as far as I'm aware we have no Japanese users here so there's nobody to share their experience. I guess if you're near the city area like Tokyo/Ueno it would take around 2 - 3 weeks, however this is just speculation.

Did Dell give you an estimated delivery date? Take that and take a couple of days off it, that should give you a rough estimate.

I visited Tokyo once for the TGS (Tokyo Game Show), it was the most amazing time of my life. I have never been treated with so much respect and have never seen such a beautiful place. If it wasn't so expensive to travel there (cost me £1,100 and that's half price lol) then I would definitely go there again. The university I'm going to soon has a Japanese department where people come from Japan to learn about England, so I hope to make friends with some of them and perhaps travel back to Japan with them. I met some wonderful people there who I'm still in contact with . Sorry to stray off topic, I hope you get your laptop soon. Like you I upgraded from a below-average machine (Dell Inspiron 1720), it's a wonderful upgrade .

I went to check and they estimated it would be delivered on 16/9/2010. well, I'm currently studying here in Japan. the people are very friendly indeed. pc gaming isnt much of a scene here...i was surprised when i went to buy my m15x, the alienware section was at the back of the shop where people can't see it
it seems like dell is trying to get rid of the gtx260m cards. here, the one i ordered with the ati5850 is act a bit more expensive than the one with the gtx260m card. shouldnt the one with the ati cost far less? @_@

btw ukera, did you like have to update the bios/drivers and stuff the moment yours arrived?

 

well Japan are more on Handhelds, Japan's Living Upkeep Are Very Expensive right? yeah, the 260m cards are having lots of problems on M15x. most likely i think they have not been making much profits thats why they jack up the price of the Ati Cards.. lets just hope my ATI cards price remains the same for awhile till i gotten my ordered

well, first of all im pretty much working and saving up for it currently and its Expensive over at my side,

2nd, i have always been impatient on getting stuff, so here I'm researching about it and planning my ways to improve/Plans on what I'm gonna/Could do on my M15x when i gets it.

See know that's smart. I've done exactly the same, however, not through choice...Bonus month is this November!

Since joining the NBR forums, my initial M15x build has changed multiple times and now I'm finally set on my cheaper, yet probably, more powerful 'gaming' rig. Not to mentioned I now can't wait to upgrade to cheaper, and much better components than those offered on the dell site!

The guys here are pretty awesome I must admit. Me included!

Yeah I too am looking at the OCZ SSDs, although I will probably pick up an Intel I think.. Let me know If you find anything at a good price before November'ish. Would be ideal to have it ready before the Laptop arrives actually.

You say you where impatient? Lol I had a dream the other night that mine had been delivered! Although dreams are weird, the screen was only 5" and there I was convincing my family that it was 1080p... See what's happening to me!

does that often happen? arrrggghhh...its killing me
