M14x Order Status Discussion

Ive been arguing with these people for a month over other issues, yes it really sucks cuz i ordered the 25th now its 3 days wasted! Im not playing with reps I spoke to a manager now waiting for order to be approved uuugh!

 

Mine just shipped, ordered 20th!!! Woot!!!

 

ordered mine on sunday 23rd when do guys think i will get it the estimated delivery date says 5/8/2011 ?

 

Mine took 8 days from order to delivery... I did have NBD shipping though.

 

The status on mine just changed to SHIPPED.

Ordered 4/19/2011

No tracking number available yet . . . .so not sure when it will be here.

 

anyone know how often they update the statup page?

ordered mine 19th, work in progress 20th, build complete 25th but still no
shipping status. Spoke with an online rep last night, he said because of easter holidays it was tagged on 27 so it would have been shipped 28th.

So has anyone noticed long delays in the status page being updated?????

Just got an email from my rep saying the laptop is in the final stage of production and should be shipped out in 1 or 2 days. also got NBD so hopefully i get it this week =]]

After "finalizing production" and being "ship complete" for 5 and a half days, my new laptop has finally shipped!

Well, the Fraud Department locked my information due to me having a Canadian CC+ordering in the US and canceled my order. I had to spend 1 hour on the phone getting transferred/put on hold by 6 different reps to get it sorted out ...waiting on my order to get placed again now *sigh*.

status changed from finalizing production to shipped today and after checking a few more times i got a FedEx tracking number. I debated doing NBD shipping but ended up going with standard. well anyway, FedEx says its estimated delivery date is tomorrow. it was listed as picked up today in Chicago and I live near Detroit so its not too far of a trip. so much for payin' extra for faster shipping.

 

Just called them up and they said mines was boxed and gtg just hasn't been assigned a carrier yet so it basically just sitting there but in my status it say production still...

nope, i had 7 day shipping at first. called up my rep and asked on the status and asked if he could make it any faster. he said not but he said he could put in a request for it to be expedited which means NBD and it got approved.

 

WOOT! ordered 21st and it's coming tomorrow it just shipped today and updated me just now with tracking it's in ellenwood GA and that's only a hour from me I had ground shipping its like free NBD

 

Mine said "shipping complete for several days but didn't actually ship till today and will be delivered tomorrow based on tracking,,,and I didn't ask for or buy nbd shipping ,,it just ended up only taking one day.

Called the dell automated order status at 1-800-433-9014. US only.

It said it has been shipped...but on may 13? lol

Dell simply puts their expected ship date, it threw me the first time I called in too, mine was 5/13 now it's 4/30!

 

My computer sat around, completed (shipping complete), for about 5 days. I called in, and the rep said he would expedite shipping. I thought that meant he would get it to Fed Ex sooner, but maybe my shipping got upgraded too. Anyway, my $9 seven day shipping has somehow worked out to be 1 day shipping. Cool.

 

Still in finalizing production. I hope Fedex delivers it earlier in the day or else I'll be at work and my lame brother will just open it all up and ruin the fun for me.

by any chance does any one kno how often dell's status page updates?

 

Every time I check I get a surprise. This morning, my order which wasn't meant to even get here until 1 June has instead had its build completed and has shipped and I'm getting it next week! Epic stuff.

Looks like as usual - Dell's estimates are over estimates and orders are being completed and shipped in a third of the time it initially states.

 

very slowly i think.. My status was at 'Work in progress' for about 5 days then 'Manufacturing build complete' for about 4 days then all of a sudden it went to 'Arrive in Australia main hub', Merge pending delivery' and 'Dispatch to local courier' all on the 29th. So not really sure exactly when i'll recieve it.

 

Just got mine this morning NBD shipping forreal. I had ground it was here 9AM sharp!
So far I love it. I have the base with the upgraded screen and the brightness is good definitely better then the m11x. Screen size is perfect for me and laptop size feels great also. Not too heavy for its size feels just right. I am really digging the keyboard also and just feels right compared to the M11x.
The M11x definitely amazed me but this just blows me away. Love everything about it so far.. I haven't done any gaming yet but will update after I do!

I really like the way stealth black looks. I feel like the big bold arrows on the arrow keys might bug me (my eyes keep getting drawn to those keys as I look at the computer), but I'll probably get used to it.

Has anyone looked to see how the alien head on the back lights up? When I was ordering online the Alien FX options showed the head lighting up in the corresponding color, but the m14x gallery on Alienware's website only shows white alien heads.

 

On the back or cover that head is always white. just like the previous M11x etc.

 

Is the power adapter the same size for both the m11x and the m14x?

 

Darn. I was hoping I could ( temporarily) mess with friends sitting across from me by having those eyes change color rapidly.

 

Are there any pics of the m14x next to the m17x?

 

unfortunately no.. the m14x battery charger is a brick lol.. I can chuck this at someone and kill them

Yes! Mine order finally went through/was reinstated.

Using an international CC is a nightmare, but I did end up getting the M14X with lots of discounts and free NBD shipping.

Hi, Jasilv21. I got the same "money back" issue and i used visa as well. But my m14x is on the way to me, EDD 3 May.
How's your money now? Do I need to call a rep to handle this?
