    Phone them up, and ask them if they could look into it, a rep will most likely 'follow your order' with you, like they'll keep contacting you when there's changes.

    Apparently "first come, first served" doesn't apply here. I don't know of anybody that ordered on the 19th and has had theirs shipped yet, but people that ordered later have shipped. My other computer died about two days after I ordered my m14x. I don't just want mine soon; I need mine soon. Until that m14x arrives, I'm a college student without a computer.

    @Chris: Most of the people on this thread who ordered their laptops on the 19th have either received their laptops already or have been notified that their laptops have been shipped. Tis why I feel like the last person picked for dodge-ball.

    Secondly, I'm guessing the magnitude of Alienware destroyed your previous lappy as it wasn't strong enough to handle the pressure.

    Perhaps it is because I am the only person here who has opted for the 720p screen? Maybe I got the lazy worker to install my laptop's components as I was not worthy of the premium workers due to my cheaper screen option.

    In all honesty, I got the 720p screen because I am used to using my 720p 20inch hdtv as a monitor and I figured, since I would already be getting a screen upgrade from that, why heighten my standards to a new extreme? Plus, gaming performance would be improved at native res; which is always nice. :D

    So the 720p screen is dimmer than the 900p screen? Where did you get that information from?

    Ahh, I see. Well, that isn't a 50% increase in brightness but around a 33% increase. Mind you, the 720p screen is also anti-glare! (I'm trying to make myself feel better about ordering that screen).

    On that note, I WANT MY ALIENWARE NOW! :'(

    if you want to feel better

    you can think of it as being that the 720p is 33% dimmer than the 900p

    as opposed to the 900p being 50% brighter than the 720p :D

    also, maybe you'll get more battery from a dimmer screen?

    @Starscream: That's what I meant in the previous claim; however, that doesn't excuse the miscommunication and my attitudinal comeback at the "50% difference" claim. :'(

    Anyway, one of the reasons for my choosing the 720p screen was better battery life. I'm sure the outrageous "6hr battery life" claim by Alienware was made in regard to the base model with the 720p screen. Higher resolution typically equals a decrease in battery life.

    I have one better guys I just looked up my order to check my status and its's canceled! Every rep manager etc has no idea why it was canceled. Now I have to wait for another higher level management team to see why since there are no notes explaining their mistake.....Always something..

    I ordered on the 19th. It's been "Ship Complete" since the 23rd. I called, and the reps all assure me it will ship "as soon as possible." They put in a request to expedite shipping. That might help, or it might not.
