M14x Order Status Discussion

I know a lot of people around here have gotten theirs early, but mine hasn't shipped yet and has an EDD of 6/11, so it looks like they're aiming to be either on time or late for that.

On the Dell Advantage gift card, I heard that you get that a couple weeks after the order ships, rather than when the order is placed.

Tried the Dell purchase ID, Order Number, and PO Number..nothing yet

 

It works only for order number and if you are worried call dell and tell them your inconvience and give them earful, they may upgrade you too next business day shipping and will offer to expedite it!

 

Ordered 6/2. EDD is 6/19, today I tracked with the reference of order number, and it already showed it is in GA.

 

Looks like Dell's going to blow the EDD of mine. It still hasn't shipped out and the FedEx tracking using reference is coming up with zip.

I called customer service and they're looking into it. Hopefully I'll have some answers soon!

Called me last Friday saying my M14x is in final stage of production..
DELL called yesterday (6/6/2012) said there will be a delay..anyone know why? I live in Canada, does that even matter?
I actually previously ordered a M14x, but after 3 weeks it didn't come, called DELL and they said because they don't have the wireless HD thing..but they didn't even informed me..had to reorder this new order..now there is a delay?
My M14x is the regular one..no upgrades..900P, 2GB GT650M, 3610QM, 8GB, 750GB 7,200RPM SATA-II HDD
Unbelievable..been waiting for a M14x for over 5 weeks..
UPDATE: DELL called me (6/7/2012 and said that there was a technical error and now my order will have to be cancelled)......
I totally lost my faith in DELL after this incident. I'm not even sure what to do as I need my M14x before June 23, and I don't think if I re-order it's going to come...)

 

That really sucks what you're going through, but FYI- by no means is your 14x "the regular one." Pretty much every part you listed there is an upgrade over the base unit.

 

Oh really? I heard a lot of people posting their config as standard so I assumed..btw there was a new update, read previous post.
DELL Canada website said those are the regular though.

 

Just wanted to let everyone know mine got in this afternoon. This thing is SWEET! 90-100 fps in D3 all settings maxed cepts shadows 70-80 with them on
never went over 77c even jumped in a few mobs of illusionist where my desktop would normally stutter. NADA! Very pleased with this laptop. NOW OFF TO GAME

 

Tried the FexEx trick with the Order Number and it's coming up now

Looks like the shipping label has been printed and due to be delivered the 12(Tuesday). Was crossing my fingers for Monday but Tuesday is not bad! Backpack for it comes in Thursday..gonna be a fun week!

I tried the fedex thing and nothing yet ... still in production, says I should get it on the 15th, I dislike waiting.

 

The saga of mine continues.

It was supposed to ship yesterday and arrive on Monday, but this morning I woke up to find a delay notice from Dell... with a new EDD of 6/21.

For reference, I ordered on 5/28. According to the Alienware website, if I ordered a new one today it says it would ship on 6/20. So essentially I've wasted nearly 2 weeks waiting on this thing.

So I just got off the phone with customer service, and they're now saying that while my laptop has finished being built, but that it still needs to be handed off to distribution before being shipped, which they say can take "up to 7 days" (I think that's kind of BS.) Anyway, they're upping my shipping from 2-day to NBD, so we'll see what happens.

Really pissed off at Dell right now. Expected better service.

 

Showed shiiped NBD Sunday night, tracking number given didn't even register as actually shipped until Monday night. Didn't show up until Wednesday. Couldn't pick it up until Thursday.

TIP: If Fedex doesn't let you select "hold at location" online, just CALL THEM. They can still do it by phone.

ordered June 2nd with estimated date of june 15th, so It will be here three days early.. there is hope!

 

Mine gave 3 weeks edd time but got delivered to me in 1.!

Also, FWIW, order date was 6/5 and delivery date will be 6/12. Not bad, Alienware. Not bad at all.

 

Woohoo just got mine!

Ordered May 31st, arrived today so 7 business days from date of purchase.

 

Meanwhile, my sales rep, customer service, and @Dellcares have all informed me with mine that it is build complete. But it still hasn't shipped.

Why the heck would they just be leaving my laptop sitting around? I didn't know it was THAT difficult to put it in a box and give it to FedEx.

Edit: And of course, as soon as I post this, my order status page updates with a FedEx tracking number. It appears that FINALLY I will get my m14x tomorrow.

 

I placed my order 5/29 and got an edd of 6/14. As of right now it is still in production . Dell rep says it is ready to ship and that was on 6/7. When I called today(6/11) another Dell rep said it is in the testing phase. Sooo seems like nobody knows. Note: laptop has been in production since 5/29 when I ordered it. People are ordering after me and getting theirs before me. Jealous

 

Ordered mine today, absolutely buzzing!

Early morning on the 12th of June, my rep told me to expect it on the 26th or around then, so let's see...

 

Ordered mine 6/3, EDD Date was 6/15 with NBD.

Shipped today 06/11, so should have it tomorrow.

Specs as ordered were: 3720/16gb/64+500gb/650m 2gb/900p/killer 1202

 

I have had my laptop i think over a month now and still no card, i think its more than a few weeks from when it ships.

Site says shipped on 11th. Due in the 15th. Still trying to figure out how the hell that is next buisness day shipping. Pissed as hell and calling Dell. How flipping hard is it to ship something the right method? Not to mention how does it take 4 days to get from Cali to Wash state??!?!

Just placed my order on Sunday (i7 3610, 2GB GT650, 500GB HDD, 1600x900 screen, DVD only). I got a mail yesterday saying it was in production and delivery estimate was 29 June. Let's hope it arrives sooner!

So the first thing I got it is to exchange the memory to ADATA 16g and switch the hdd to momentus XT 750g

Yea! My m14x finally shipped. It should arrive at my home on June 14th. Now, too bad I won't be at my home until June 19th. I'm out of the country now. I was trying to time the shipping date to the day I arrived home. Is this one time I can be unhappy for Alienware arriving early?

It's been in production for a couple of days, can't wait. Production seems to be pretty fast for you lads. Should be interesting.

 

Mine was in production for 6 days. I kept checking, seriously, about 30 times per day. Finally on the 6th day, it said shipped. I checked the tracking number and it was already almost in California. A few hours later, I received an email from Dell telling me it was shipped. I think it must have shipped quite some time before the status was updated to "shipped."

Can't wait! Well, I gotta wait until I get back home on the 19th. So now, my m14x will be sitting all alone in the box at my house until I get there.

My estimated date of delivery was: June 22nd then updated to June 19th.

Actual date of delivery: June 14th. Well, according to the Fed Ex tracking information, my m14x is out on the truck for delivery right now

Too bad I won't be home until the 19th.

 

Wow you got it 8 days early, so theres a possibility I could get it on the Monday, heh. I doubt it, but it's nice to have some excitement abit and around .

Ordered mine on Sunday, got a mail yesterday telling me it had shipped, which is pretty impressive. Latest info on the UPS website suggests my M14 is in Warsaw. Should be with me tomorrow morning, which will be nice.

 

Mine arrived yesterday. One day before original estimated delivery date. Mine was in production for 13 days. A bit to long imo

 

Sorry for late reply, anyway i received mine. Man, that Computer is a beast, but mine got HDD replacement *TWICE* . But when it is working, I heat up Battlefield 3 with 35 to 40fraps on ultra

 

Ordered mine on the 12th.. Already got a text today saying it's been completed.

Apparently it'll be here on the 22nd, 4 days before the expected delivery date.

Mine is around $1300. try finding a coupon for it on the dell site, I gotten 100 bucks + off.

 

I finally arrived home and am now typing on the m14x. It's awesome! I loaded up Skyrim and played for a few minutes so far. I'm going to spend the next few days playing everything.

I have a question, my M14x has been showing as "Ship from Factory" for 3 days, there are only three more options, "In Transit", "With Local Courier", and "Delivered".

My Dell Australia rep said it hasn't left the factory which I think he said is in China, however I got a text asking me what date I would like it to be delivered and they gave me a choice of two available dates, I chose the 22nd.

Now, I'm thinking a couple of things, reps can't actually see the location of the laptop, so either the page hasn't updated and it's being held with the courier until tomorrow, or it hasn't left China yet. :/

I think it's with the courier, but I'm worried.

By the way to the guy that was asking, average price seems $1,300 American, mine was $1,850 thanks to $170 in taxes, that's in AUD (Australian Dollar) though. So around $1,680 for the base model, which seems accurate cause I got alot of bonus features like the Blu-Ray player, check my specs below.
