Concerning the Alienware 15 R2 ... has anyone found any specs and/or technical data that confirm or deny that the two M.2 slots support PCie x4 on slot 1, and PCie x2 on slot 2? Can anyone confirm if they are only SATA III speed, or will we get PCIe x4 Gen 3.0 speed The only information given in the service manual related to this is the following:

    1. Interface SATA 6 Gbps
    2. Hard drive One 2.5‑inch drive
    3. Solid‑state drive Two M.2 PCIe/SATA drives
Does this mean that the M.2 slots are limited to 6Gbps? Has it been determined whether the Alienware 15 R2 can do PCI-Express on the M.2 slot or is it limited to SATA III?

You have to disable the nvidia card in the device manager to flash it.

Thanks that worked. Going back to stock vbios is same process? Just need to replace the ROM with the stock ROM?

Does anyone know if this voids warranty?

    GTX980M ASIC QUALITY

Stock Volt - i can get 200 on core and 200 and memory, but when i inspect Volts Vs Watts from GPU, it shows 90W on stock, when oced it shows 102W, but the volt remains same, 1.060..

@VICKYGAMEBOY: Mine is 67% ASIC quality. Did you face an issue whilst gaming on battery when brightness dims to 0% and USB devices are disconnected suddenly while playing Witcher 3 or any game I suppose. After closing Witcher3 usb devices are connected again.

for me i tried gaming on battery, no dimming or what so ever, i had few issues long back, tried reinstalling both video driver, it was working fine, until recently, my fps is locked to 30 and get huge dips, even though its set to 60fps on Geforce Experience, probably a bad driver issue, optimus is messed up after 369.09 driver. but USB suspend nope.. not even once.. check on ur power settings, or in alien fusion..

It was contrast enhancement from Intel driver causing this issue. Turned it off and issue fixed
