Do you mean the color inversion (google accessibility) plugin? How much battery life are you getting? And how much brightness do you run it on? My usage generally does not go over 20% brightness and my current system only gives 2.5 hours of life.

If you managed to do this. Would you mind or anyone mind upload a copy of the original state back up? After my ordeal with ssds. I got one. But would like to restore it without putting drives on manually after reinstallation.
    So would be most grateful.
P.S that last drive must of been faulty. This pm961 works just fine. Saw in bios straight away

I fixed my micro stuttering (not sure if its same issue you were having) by disabling Win 10 XBOX Game record DVR app that is enabled by default. It is the Win 10 app that loads in green message everytime you start a game.

Ok, first (brief) impression. After disabling the factory mode, updating windows and a few restarts the system seems to run quite stable. I ran a few short prime and heaven benchmarks. With prime (mixed tests) the cpu peaks at 80 degrees, with Heaven the gpu peaks at 78 degrees. When combined, the cpu peaks at 88 and the gpu at 80. It's not perfect but much better than my experience with he 15r3 which reached 99 degrees. The core differential is about 4 degrees.

Did anyone repaste this yet, if so what is your experience and which tools/paste/methods did you use?

I intend to use Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut which I originally purchased for the 15. I'm curious about the shim method but wasn't able to find out what materials I need and where to buy them. Maybe there already is some sort of guide?. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you wont even be needing shims with a 4 degree core differential!

Anyone recently (yesterday/today) receive a Shipping confirmation on any OLED config ? I see dell has removed the option to order OLED in their website totally , only FHD available.

Just checked its still there but its no more the default option on their most expensive rig. You have to customize it now. Wierd.

Probably because of a shortage of oled. And probably want to shift more rather than allowing the option to order oled with a big back log.

As for the guy with USB windows. Select option window installer or what ever it is. It will pick up the USB windows if it's put on correctly.

Do not understand comments like this. No one's buying this unit or anything like it, for battery life. This is a niche market. If it's battery life you are looking for and basing your purchasing decision on; you are looking in the wrong market.

I get it and I'm not expecting miracles! But his machine is significantly lower than the average 3.5 - 4 hours ive read around on reviews etc. I expect this much atleast from this machine.

Do I want a crazy long battery life? Of course not! But i am expecting atl east 3.5 hours. 2 hours is low by any standards, even a gaming laptops, i would think, but your expectations may differ.

Hmm from the support site I can download 2 restore images, windows 10 for dell and plain windows 10. I'm guessing the first one lets me get the alienware stuff and the second one is just plain windows?

You posted an image earlier showing the message during boot sequence, I think it's fn+x to disable the test mode the laptop was in. Others have posted to say you need to do this quickly when it's booting up. If it's left in this state, it won't charge beyond 60%. I'm still waiting on mine to land, so cannot comment further!

Yea I loaded both and don't understand what's going on because it doesn't load with the dell drivers on like a factory reset. If it does then please enlighten. Cos it's a larger ISO then windows download. But same results as windows which gives no drivers.

Cmon dude dont bury my reply.. Everyone replies to you. You post the most in this whole thread.

Its a serious issue if I cant turn the Fing screen brightness down in a dark lit room or in a public space where im using my laptop at night.

No one even cares about this issue until it happens to them.

Try exploring the drive after installing windows 10. I'm going with the assumption that you have the image loaded onto a USB drive. Explore the drive and look for folders with drivers and software.

so by some miracle I got it to work again, I uninstall the OLED LCD driver, and I reinstall the old Nvidia Dell got on their page, then I install the OLED LCD driver again and it worked...it still says PnP Generic Monitor in the Device page though...I don't know if that was listed like that the whole time.

One delivery down, one to go!. Got the Graphics Amplifier delivered today and 13" OLED should be here tomorrow. I'm looking for a 1TB m.2 drive, I see people using mx300 what read/write speeds are you getting?, is it worth getting (Tight budget after shelling out for this lot).

I'm with you. I'd like to know also. I'm just saying I currently just used the install from it on my fresh drive and trying to work it out. Just saying if who ever knows or finds out to share the info as it be much appreciated. Right about now my oled screen doesn't look "right" after the install. So anyone with info of getting a install with the drivers preloaded is most grateful.
I used the dell version also and checked folders. Only found dell Alienware update
