upgrade cost m15x: 500 bucks
cost for alienware 15 new system: way friggin´ more than 500 bucks!

conclusion: a friggin SIX YEAR OLD MACHINE beats a "new and improved" bga turdbook if thats not a joke, then i dunno what is *rofl*

 

i checked it but i hardly doubt it. I think I would score much higher with a proper bios. But I dont have a 3dmark 11 full version available anymore and I am not going to pay for it.

WHy i say this? Because in every game my AW15 performs higher than the benchmark runs in the review. COD AW on ultra I am constantly over 60fps while they even fail to break the 50fps, FC4 the same story and Unity I have better results as well.

anyway, with standard settings, and a lot of background apps open because I am at work and no time to save everything.

So yeah in this situation this is my score. I can do a fresh run later after a reboot and no extra apps open. Didnt reboot my machine for 3 weeks now. I always put it in hibernate mode.

not surprising in the least considering the GPU is pretty much the only thing that makes a gaming machine, and theres a brand new GPU in it.

 

the funny thing is, you guys stated that with a minimum score difference the Acer and AW15 that the AW15 got "rekt" so what would this be then? your troll level and consistency isnt really good.

also its a 5 or 6 year old laptop with a year old gpu, so yeah, it is kinda different. Anyway, again keep talking crap, you guys are losing credibility here not me

I laugh when people make a big deal out of extreme edition socketed CPU's when they don't mean jack for gaming, I mean go rub one off to your CPU benchmarks in a dark corner somewhere, I'm going to be playing games while you do that.

btw, before dual vs quad cpu was important, now it isnt! and before the whole rest of the system mattered sooo much, but now only the gpu matter sinces its all about gaming riiight....

I actually need every Hz of CPU power I can squeeze. Video encoding is extremely CPU taxing, as is running a PS2/Gamecube emulator with graphics upgrades.

 

oh you edited your message so now you become serious again. I havent stated anywhere cpu isnt important, but we all know there are no big performance jumps past 5 years when it comes to raw performance, intel went on the efficiency tour with their latest CPU's. So yeah when it comes to core count all cpu's except for the desktop cpu's score within a small range of eachother. But wasnt it that BGA was crap and totally inferior? Underperforming etc? Compared to other 970M equipped notebooks the AW15 is perfectly fine and I have proved it with benchmarks. So come with proper proof or shut up and go jerk while looking at your batman laptop like a teenager. Saying you are trolling is just an easy way out while trying to hold your head high.

 

well of course, i still have one more hour to go here at the gym i need some more input here and easy tiger, u seem to get so offensive so quickly, oh boy... i thought its all fun n games here

Maybe wait with that to the eMachines get tested by Notebookcheck Perhaps we can see the new BGA king on laptops with single gpu.

Yeah, let's just close it. No point in generating strife over this. If people are OK with having a 4th or 5th generation BGA Core i7 CPU that is outperformed by a 1st generation Core i7, just let them be. All of our appeals for people to not become part of the problem by accepting systems with BGA CPU and GPU fell on deaf ears anyway, so why bother stirring the pot after the fact? Physics performance obviously isn't very important to everyone and the mountain of evidence that demonstrates the inferiority of BGA CPUs won't fix that.
