Gang I need to purchase something for a 'client' of mine and want it to be good. this is not for gaming but for photo editing [non professional], business, and personal, fun, etc.
needs to be good quality system.

I looked at several i3-4030u/4010u models and a couple of i5-4210u models. these two latitudes, the older E5440 and the 3440 look good on specs but I cannot find ANY number of reviews.

could some of you comment as to your opinion as owners?

I'm comparing these to the comparable HP units i.e. 340 G1

    thank you much

I own an old Latitude E 5510. Which is still performing very well and has been uber reliable and durable. And easily maintained and upgraded, In my opinion, the Dell Latitude systems are very nice quality. I would go for the E 5440 over the 3440 as it is a lower end system (this series replaced the Vostro lineup), my own Latitude E 5510 was a dump rescue tossed out. A neighbor brought it to me. And outside of a stuck keyboard (I cleaned it and replaced the missing keycap), upgraded the RAM, hard drive, and installed a DVD-RW drive. And this is a 2009 era early Core I3 system. I recommend the Latitude 5000 series, 6000 series, and 7000 series laptops highly to those who want well built, durable, reliable systems. Great value for the money.
