    Hey guys,
I recently got a new 6 cell for my XT2, as well as a new stylus (finally can take notes for more than one lecture!). Since I got the XT2 in October, I've noticed that it has a tendency drain very quickly during sleep. I attributed this to the terribly worn 4 cell that I had prior, but with the new battery I'm noticing the same thing. I'm running W8.1 x64, and there's nothing keeping the computer awake, nor are there any devices that can wake it from sleep other than the power button and stylus eject. Specs:
    U9600 - 1.6Ghz
    5GB RAM (so a 4GB stick)
    Ultimate-N 6300 from an E6510 (three antennae!)
Dell Wireless 5720 WAN card, used for GPS
60GB Samsung SSD (I believe it's the TM800, or something along those lines).

I tend to lose somewhere between 1-2 percent per hour in sleep mode. I haven't had the time to try with wireless off, with the machine powered down, etc.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

It is normal to loose battery when the laptop is in sleep mode rather than hibernating or shut down. In sleep mode, the laptop still has to keep certain components like RAM powered on, so there is still a battery drain, albeit a small one.

I completely understand that. My concern was more the rate of discharge. 2+ percent per hour seems like quite a lot.
