    Isnt that everything thats currently installed ? :confused:
    Apart from the XP CD, is the rest of the stuff on the drivers CD ?
    Is there a hidden partition that I should be careful not to nuke ?

    I realise that its a personal choice... but I wouldnt put a 6 year old OS on a new laptop. XP x64 isnt very well polished next to Vista x64 (let alone 7) as it was MS's first attempt at shipping an x64 OS.

    That's the reason you will install Updated Drivers, they will take care of the Hardware improvements, but the OS behaves pretty good, it's simple, light, fast, stable (it's the same Kernel being used for Windows Server 2003). :D :D :D :D

    Don't really see a guide being needed as Dell has the drivers for XP 64 on there site.

    Are the installed drivers older then the drivers on dells website ?
    My lapop was shipped feb end.
