    Hi,

Is it possible to remote turn on the laptop Dell Latitude e6400 ?

I understand the concept of the magic packet. My question is in which state do I have to turn off my laptop in order to have the Wake up on LAN working ?

    Best regards, Chris

I have tried to turn on remotely my laptop which was turned off: it did not turn on !!
I could only turn it on remotely when my laptop is in sleep mode.. is it the same for you ? if yes, what is the point of having WoL if it only works on sleeping laptops !

    Chris

Double check your BIOS if it has WOL option.

Now go to your Device Manager > Network Adapters > Choose your ethernet adapter > Advanced > Wake from Shutdown > Change value to Yes

I have activated WoL in my bios.

For you having already used WoL, can you remotely turn on your computer when you have the laptop turn off ? or do you have to put the laptop in sleep mode to be able to remotely turn it on ?
