I recently installed the new consumer preview of windows 8, and most things are going just fine. Windows update finds the right beta drivers for the FirePro, I didn't lose any apps and settings, and the Dell apps all seem to work fine. However, there's one issue. No matter what power profile I choose, the CPU never seems to go over 1.9 GHz, even when pushed to the limit and on the "ultra performance" power setting. Is there any way to set this manually, or any other workaround that anyone has found?

How are you measuring the CPU speed, CPU-Z? Are you plugged in and it is not going past 1.9 GHz?

I'm using hwinfo64. I am plugged in, and it will register very small changes in frequency, and it will downclock to about 800MHz when I select extended battery life, but it won't go above 1.9 GHz.
