If you look at the bottom of a dell power brick it says it can take input of 120v to 240v so all you need is a wall adapter. I was in Israel for nine months and I used my XPS m1210 with nothing but a wall adapter and it worked fine. When I came home my warranty was still valid. But that could simply be because I didn't tell them I used it in Israel.

Most laptop power chargers work overseas. They are rated 110-240 Volt. all you need a simple plug changer to convert the US prongs to the foreign prongs. A more elegant solution is replace the wie from the power adapter to the wall socket itself.

BTW if you upgraded to next business day then your warranty is also valid overseas i.e you can get service overseas and there is a form somewhere to transfer it to another country. In any case your warranty with Dell USA is always valid(unless i guess you explictly ask Dell to transfer it to a foreign country).

About the warranty - just get the NBD service type, it has international coverage.
