I had been deciding between the Lenovo T61 and the D630, and had decided on the D630 due to battery concerns. The Latitude deals don't seem that great right now, and there is a sale on the Thinkpads ending tonight that puts the T61 price lower than the D630. For those that follow pricing trends, do you think the Latitudes will go down more leading up to the E series, or should I just buy the Lenovo tonight before the deal expires?

List price on them went down a couple months ago. I wouldn't expect a list price drop any time in the near future. If you want a deal though, I would call in and talk to a rep. 3 weeks left to go in the quarter. I'm sure you can find a hungry rep willing to get aggressive. Make sure you mention the IBM deal.

The price will go down in...probably a few months or something. E series will be coming out, but it will probably be a bit before it really drops like the Dx20 series did.

Last time an update was out, the prices did not go down until after the new stuff was released. They sold both offerings in parallel until the old stuff ran out.
