Last week, the M4400 had the P9600 processor (I saved an equote). This week it has been pulled, any idea when it'll be back ?

The P9600 is still an option on the Latitude E6400/E6500, so I have no idea why it would disappear from the Precision line. If you noticed, when you click on the M4400, it doesn't offer ANY of P-series processors, just the T9400 and up.

I have a Latitude E6400 with the 2.53 P9500 (identical specs to T9400, except 25W vs. 35W TDP). Has anyone seen any quantifiable evidence that the P-series are in any way beneficial compared to their T-series counterparts with the same clock speed and same L2? P9500 vs. T9400? P9600 vs. T9550?

Is the P-series worth the extra $60 they charge?

I had an order in for the M4400 w/ the P9600 and it was canceled due to incompatibility. I think I read somewhere on these forums where someone couldn't use the latest BIOS (A11) w/ the P9600 or P9800.

Hmmm... I have a pending order for an M4400 with the P9600 that still says it will ship on 2/2. Now I wonder if it will.

They also raised the price of the T9800 processor, earlier it was $60 more than the P96000 (which itself was a $150 upgrade) - a total of $210 over base.
Now it costs $315 more (for the M4400).
