    hi guys,
I have some difficulties updating my ''clicking noise solving'' firmware. I am not 100% sure if the problem is with the USB (wich must be made bootable boforehand) or the driver itself.
I make my 128MB PQI flash drive bootable by using the ''HP usb storage format tool v. 2.0.6'' and everything seems fine - doesn't give any mistakes or so. After that (following the instructions on Dell's site) I put in the USB the files that are in the driver folder for my 200GB 7200.2 Seagate Momentus ( in my case - ''R211337.EXE'' - and run the ''DE17.bat'' form the USB. And it starts a DOS window and starts checking - but than a message '' 0 controlers found'' comes out at the bottom of the dos window data ....and that's it...:). How come that it can't find a controller when I have exactly this Seagate HDD...!
I can not understand where is the problem..I download exactly the file for my hard drive and follow the instructions step by step...anyone experienced and gone through this before?

I've not needed to try this, but I wonder if you need to change the SATA operation mode to ATA in the BIOS so that the software on the flash drive can see the HDD. Afterwards you will need to change it back to whatever it is set to now.
