Which partition should I delete? Media direct or that 44MB recovery partition?

I need a third primary partition and I don't use media direct...so yeha.

I'm trying to make it a logical partition where my dual boot XP/Vista can be viewed (right now as the Vista was with a Dell CD, I can't see Vista from XP but I can the other way.

Summary: If I make a logical partition I can share various stuff like Music or Games (so I don't have use twice the amount of space but I just install "twice")

If your XP and Vista are both 32 of 64 bit and for some games, your DirectX are both the same (9.0c is the highest for XP), then it should work. If you try to open 32 bit applications on a 64 bit OS, then it will work too but NOT when you try to open 64 bit appliactions on a 32 bit OS. So, look whitch dirctx you have and how many bits your Vista and XP are.

To address the first questions, I would say, delete the 44mb partition AND media direct. I would back up the Dell restore partition, maybe make an image or something, and then get rid of that too. That way, you can make an XP part, Vista part, a 'shared' part, and maybe a forth just for certain data that you want to protect. Its up to you.

Personally though, if you have your recovery disks or the ability to make an image to an external HDD you don't really have to waste 10-15Gb of space.

I think I'll leave Media Direct right now and backup that 44MB :)
