I'm a sports photographer and I'm looking at the Latitude range for a laptop to use pitchside, to process some images before sending off to the agency. The 14" screen would be big enough but I'm unsure about screen quality vs the 15.6" screens available.

What Latitude variant has the best screen quality?

Thanks in advance for your help

IMO none of them. too glossy and inaccurate from the ones I have seen. If you can find a Precision m4600 with the IPS screen ( 10 bit p/primary ) it is a far superior screen and onsite workstation. ( Dell no longer puts out the m4700 with the Precisioncolor screen ) if you can swallow the price the HP Elitebook 8570W has a fantastic full aRGB / 10 bit screen in a 15"

in 17" check the m6700 with Precisioncolor or Elitebook 8770w with the Drteamcolor 2 screens. these two beasts beat almost all desktop units for color accuracy.

Thanks for the quick response. I already own a Precision M6600, but this is too big and also drains the battery in no time, which is not good. So I was looking for something smaller, fast, with a decent quality screen, and with decent battery life, but also rugged enough to be carted around and used pitchside. I'm wondering if a combination of all those exists  The Latitude 6430 seemed to be the answer, but as you say, I'm wondered if the screen quality was good enough

6430 gives great retina burn. if your after a light hitter with good screen look at the ASUS Zenbook UX31A or UX32VD. the Viao Z works but is a bit insane on the price.

if you can deal with the 70% sRGB gamut and lower resolution, I actually LOVE the Lenovo X230 with the IPS screen option. the dual drive format and insane battery life is great for fast and dirty edits. and if you hide a nice 15" monitor in the car or truck it gives you a dual screen option or a bit more accuracy when you actually need it.

real life both my x220 and x230 give 9-11 hrs with screen @ 75% brightness, 16gb RAM i7 and 256 SSD and 720 HDD, with the slice around 20-25 hrs
