where to find Dell bios update utility

    as per the subject. have an M6600 with old A04 bios. install instructions say to use the "bios update utility" but gives no link to it. used the search on Dell website - no links to it.

    Go to support.dell.com, drivers section, and find your BIOS download there. It is a single .exe file that takes care of everything, just run it and follow the directions.

    so are you saying there is no bios update utility - i can just run the bios executable itself...? if so why do dell say otherwise...?

    The bios and utility are packaged into one .exe file, the wording is probably leftovers from a time when there was a utility and separate bios file.

    thanks - i updated from A04 to A07 and it seems fine. the next step is to go up to the latest A14... here's hoping it works and has no issues with M6600 :D

    a couple years ago one of Dell's bios updates stopped my old XPS from being able to charge lol...
