where is the Scroll Lock key ?

    on my e6400?

    I need it for an application, I need it really bad.

    I can't believe that it's not on the keybaord.

    I believe there is no Scroll Lock key. You'll have to use an external keyboard for it.

    Scroll Lock is obsolete in its original purpose, and many laptop keyboards are phasing it out to conserve space.

    you know what.........? you're right.... i can't see the scroll lock

    but i can't see the scroll lock on my lenovo and compaq either.....

    Try and see if there is scroll lock on an on-screen keyboard. I have scroll lock on my keyboard. It's the function key with num-lock.

    Most laptops nowadays do not have the Scroll Lock key - only the full-size keyboard on the Thinkpad seems to have it, only because Thinkpad keyboard layouts rarely ever change. My 4 year old Averatec had the Scroll Lock feature on the Delete key, while holding the Function key.

    Dell see no need for Scroll Lock. The BIOS even has an option to enable Scroll Lock on an external PS/2 keyboard to emumate the Fn key.

    However, could a keyboard remapping program let you assign another key to Scroll Lock?

    guys! SHAME ON US ALL! a guy from the Cakewalk forum just pointed out that since there are 3 leds, one for caps, one for numlock and one for SCROLL LOCK. just press fn+F5. I feel so embarrassed. I can't believe I missed. Not that intuitive though. [​IMG]
