Why doesn't Dell offer an E4300 with a low voltage chip and extended battery life. I feel that a large portion of the demographic that buys E4300 latitudes would be willing to make that tradeoff between processor power and battery life. I have an E4300 and would love for it to have longer battery life. The processor is definitely overkill for what I use it for. What do other E4300 owners think?

I would have bought an E4200 if I wanted the ULV chip. I like my E4300 just the way it is, a slightly smaller E6400 without a pc card slot and a couple usb connectors.

While the SP series is a good fit, I think the SL processor series would also have been a good fit for this system. Though I think the ULV chips (SU series) are a better fit for the E4200.

Yes, I was referring to the SL processor series. I'm just saying it would be cool if Dell offered both options as I feel there would be strong demand for an SL series processor and better battery life. Lenovo just released the T400s so they must feel that there is demand for it too.

I probably would have opted for an SL series, though I'm quite satisfied with my current setup.

I have a lot of business apps running on mine at the same time and I feel like it needs the power of the cpu that it has. I like the small and light form factor with the power it delivers. I still can get 4-5 hours with wireless on running with the 6 cell battery.

I love the battery life this thing offers, despite it's power.

It will do great in my classes.
