I've tried googling for it, but I can't find any firm dates on when a potential successor to the latitude e7450 (skylake business-class ultrabook) might be launched. Does anyone know?

My guess is Q1 2016 given that the E7450 wasn't announced until January 2015 and Dell will want to give the current models a reasonable production run. However, it's possible that the Dell announcements will come sooner if the new chips are available in abundance.

Here's hoping Dell will release a 2-in-1/convertible (e.g., 360 degree laptop to tablet form factor) that's compatible with the E-port dock, and has a removable battery! :)
