What software do you all use to monitor notebook stats?

    What software do yu all use to monitor the cpu temp and fam speeds?

    HWmonitor is good for reading the temperatures and I8kfanGUI will read the fan speed (but is unable to change the settings on these new Dells).

    I use lm_sensors to read the ACPI thermal sensors and the Core 2's digital temp sensors, hddtemp to read the HDD's thermal diode, and i8ktools to read the fan speed. I display these readings in the Gnome hardware status applet. Like the Windows version, you cannot change the fan speeds with i8ktools.

    Third that. It's the first one I found that's supported properly on 64-bit Vista and collects from the CPU and GPU. Also no configuration necessary.

    It even reads my hard drive temp.

    I also use hwmonitor and i8kfangui.
