My new dell outlet m4400 has a yellow sticker on the inside of the bottom piece that has a large 3 on it and says ME disabled in smaller letters. Does anyone know what it means?

It refers to the "manageability mode" in which the laptop first shipped.

I think this just implies that the machine had a motherboard replacement sometime in its lifetime, the article says that motherboards are "shipped in manufacturing mode and the end user or service provider must select the manageability option upon first boot". Doubt it'll actually affect performance or anything after you set it properly.
