My auction for my Lat D630 ends in about 15 hours. I posted the specs of it and even include screenshots of the BIOS. An ebay user msg me asking me about the service tag because he wants to find out about the warranty status and the config on dell's website.

So would it be safe to give him the ST?

I do not see any harm that he can really do with it. Mainly just shows how long the warranty lasts and also to check if by chance the machine was stolen etc etc

Why not look it up yourself on support.dell.com- you be the judge. Generally the information is innocuous and service tags are provided in other auctions as well. Once you sell the machine, the new owner knows the service tag number anyways.
