    Hey,

I have a UK/Irish Vostro 1310, I bought a US layout keyboard from ebay and after I've installed it the keys are messed up, the whole bottom row from Z - to the end are typing wrong, if I push B it types out N, if I push N it types out M.

Are keyboards region locked or something?

Windows is configured properly I've tested it in other operating systems aswell, the same result.

When you say windows is configured properly, have you changed all the regional options? And the keyboard layout?

You will need to do this or the buttons will still be set to the old keyboard you had, as you are beginning to find out!

    Hops this helps

Yes, I've changed everything, I've even tried it with some dos programs and ubuntu with the same result.

It sounds like you didn't put the cable to the keyboard in the right position.

    Hmmm... maybe,

The cable on the UK keyboard was running for the bottom of the keyboard, but for the US keyboard it's coming from the top, I did push the keyboard's plug in tightly, but there is no chance to insert it any other way.
