Hello guys, sometimes when i resume windows I get this screen (see attachment). it only though seems to happen when resuming windows. colours can be different and shape too.

when the bootup is complete it dissappears with the log screen coming up. sometimes you see a small visible line dividing left and right which will eventually dissappear when the screen refreshes.

any ideas why this is and did u experience the same? must be hardware default since it starts immediately when waking up or resuming windows?

Which video card do you have? Haven you tried to update your drivers yet?

I dont think it has anything to do with that since it only happens when booting and stops once the login screen starts.,..

Just trying to rule out any software issues. Probably your video card is having some issues, however you said it happened after resuming Windows either from sleep or hibernation. I've seen various issues coming out of these states from time-to-time.

Have you modified the resolution settings of the panel at all or has it always done this from day one?

    Hi Riccardo83,

Please try the below mentioned steps to identify if the issue is because of the LCD screen or the graphics card.

    • Please make sure that the AC power is connected.
    • Press and hold the key ‘D’ and turn on the system.
    • If the screen is fine it will display different color bars.
    • Please check if the shade difference happens on the screen.
    • If there is a shade difference appears on the screen while displaying different colors, the issues is related to the LCD.
    • Else it may be the graphics card.

I hope this helps. Please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks & Regards

    - AC Connected ? Why should that be an issue?
    - I hold down D and it displayed different colors no bars. These colors were full screen and some had tiny little flickering lines which dissappered quickly when the new color poped up.
    - what do u mean by shade difference?

    thanks for ur help
