    I have a dell Latitude D820.
For some reasons, when visiting websites there are often problems with viewing the formatting. I've tried using both Internet Explorer 6, 7, and Mozilla Firefox 3.0 - however I usually end up with the same symptoms.

What I mean by formatting is that often times, parts of the website will not be shown, be it the text or color or even the wallpaper. Other times the font will randomly be displayed extremely large and at other times it won't.

    Any ideas?

Press Ctrl+0 in Firefox to reset the zoom setting for that page back to default.
Check if you have any malware with: http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Then check for spyware with an anti-spyware porgram and then with Spybot: http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-amp-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html
    Disable all add-ons in Firefox.
    And then for Viruses.

If nothing was found than it might a problem:
    - with the server.
    - with your router that can't connect properly onto the website server.
    - with your network card or system settings (which I know nothing about).

If this problem is new, and you use Vista, you can try to go back in time.

I've tried that - no spyware.
I've also tried reinstalling the video drivers to see if that is what would be causing it.

If it's a router thing, then I don't know why it doesn't do the exact same thing for my roomate on her laptop.

As to the system settings, what would you like to know that could help?

Can you show me a picture with the URL (so that I can compare it on my side)? I am sure it's a web browser setting(s).

well if IE6, IE7 and FF3 give the same symptoms... it looks rather like some windows regional settings issue (accessible via control panel)..? - but i'm guessing only
