Hi, I received this dell laptop on 3rd of march 2009 and ever since I got this laptop, my life has been a living hell. I've written about my problems before:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=366185

Basically, I've wasted plenty of time chatting with dell representatives and they have already replaced my touchpad (twice), heat sink, fan, motherboard, keyboard in such a short span. I've tried switching to different operating systems and it hasn't helped me in any way. Now, when I try to contact dell representatives, they tell me that its not a hardware problem since the hardware has already been replaced and so they just give me the same software solutions (reinstall os, reinstall drivers) as before without even listening to my problems. One time this representative even cut off the line. Now what I want to ask is : can i return this laptop now ? I know that my 21 day period is over but my work is really suffering right now because of this laptop. Some one please help me.

I really wish I had gone with the cheaper and more stable acer netbook. I've already the made the mistake of buying dell twice. Never again.

did you buy this from brand new? why not ask for a whole system replacment?

I guess you still can do this , call customer service, and explain your situation.

I guess you got a lemon,it happen's.....I had an XPS M1730 that was a lemon, returned it 3 1/2 week's later for a refund, ordered another one 5 month's later and it was pretty much perfect...but whatever,if you want a refund, you have to demand it from dell yourself....because NBRF can't do it for you.

Get the rep's name's and ext before you tell them what your ringing for, then ask to be put through to their supervisor when they can't help you...when that supervisor can't help,do the same, you don't have to be nasty, just determined to get your way.

If you don't get names and extension's of people you talk to,they will more than likely hang up on you if your problem is too difficult for them to handle......they just hope you will go away.

I seriously don't have the time to chat with them anymore. I've already spent 20 hours chatting with them ever since this laptop arrived. Is there a shorter way to do it ? I'm seriously done with this laptop because it has also destroyed two plug points in my house ever since I plugged the laptop's ac adapter into them. I don't know if this is one of the reasons behind the problem.

chat is no help! chat is only for technican issue. Not customer service!
That's why it doesn't work for you.

wait wait...you're saying the receptacles in your house do not work any more after plugging the laptop into them? Short of blowing a fuse or tripping a breaker, this makes no sense. I would strongly suggest having the electrical outlets in your home tested to ensure they are grounded and working correctly.
