Did you try to flash it in Windows?
Usually there is a BIOS recovery mode on laptops from Clevo and Alienware. Not sure about Dell Vostro's.

    @justinbacle

Phunkmaz have a white screen too (mine never have this) when i flash it with my modded bios.

Like i said before to Phunkmaz :

The best way is to flash the bios with the A12 regular version BEFORE flashing the modded one.
Yes, you need to check "programming all blocks"

    Be VERY CAREFUL Under Windows.
    *******************************************
    1) OF COURSE..... but we are expert here i suppose ? ;) COPY ALL the file on your hardisk..... (no problem like certain Asus bios (example for the G73JH....) who support only FAT32 (yes it's true....)
    2) AC adapter PLUGGED.
    3) A well charged battery.
    4) ALL antivirus, malware, etc... DISABLED BEFORE flashing.

    Keep me updated please.

There's a recovery, i'll do a post in few minutes.

Before trying the bios recovery procedure you can do this, we'll see if it's ok or not, i want to know if you flashed the A12 original Bios BEFORE flash the A12 modded one too.

Don't hesitate to say if you do it or not, We are all human, and error is possible, I can understand you want to do this quickly without reading the entire thread.

Who can claim he has never do something without read an entire thread ?
Error are made to Learn... (i admit this one is VERY annoying....)

But we need to restart your laptop :O)

Do this in first, (Cmos reset)
    1. Disconnect the system from external power source, remove main battery on a laptop.
    2. Remove the computer cover and locate the CMOS coin cell battery
    3. Disconnect the coin cell battery
    4. Press the power button for at least 10 seconds to drain all residual power from the system
    5. Re-connect the coin cell battery
    6. Assemble the unit and verify functionality
    7. Of course, set date and time, etc... and option you need
    8. i repeat : certain bios option can hang at boot, or do a blackscreen. (need to re-do the cmos reset)

IF and ONLY this steps not work, Go for bios recovery procedure, here it is :

    1. Download the file attached with this post
    2. Format an Usb key (if this one have a led, it's convenient to see the process during recovery) in FAT32 format without any file (no boot,etc...)
    3. Unzip the file on the Usb key without changing the name, it's very important !
    4. Remove the battery AND Unplug the AC adapter
    5. Plug the USB key on your laptop
    5. Hold the "END" key and plug the AC adapter
    6. The computer start by itself and normally, must read the usb key (this is why a led on usb is cool)
    7. The computer ask if he can flash the bios (allow it, but i suppose you're not mad, lol)
    8. Normally at the end, the computer restart and you stop to hate me :D

    PS : the MD5 of Winery70.hdr : ca14e2bf276cb50746901bec41d73c73 and for FinaLA12FuLL.rom : 795b2296fef7f86674d1da098dfee505

Okay, I'll try the recovery as soon as I get home :) Thanks for your hard work.

BTW : I am pretty sure I updated the bios to A12 when it went online years ago. However I did not plug the AC power as the AC has many outages where I live.

Ok, your trick actually worked. The PC is now booting. The BIOS flashed is different though. A bit more options available.
On first boot the PC hanged up. I restarted and things are working now :)
I'll have to try and reflash, what is the procedure to flash it outside of Windows

    Hi !
Nice to see your laptop is ok ! :)
Did you tried the Cmos reset before flashing the recovery ? No positive result ?
If you have more option, thats mean you don't have the A12 before flashing My mod.
Because The winery70.hdr come from the original Dell A12 bios exe :p

I never flash my mod outside of Windows, you need AFUDOS Tools to do it Under dos.

    1) You need to make a bootable key with Rufus, it's easy to make with it :
    https://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US
    2) Put the file attached with this post onto the root of the usb key.
    3) Launch the flashing procedure with "GO" batch.
    4) Shutdown once the process completed
    5) Cross your finger and pray
    6) Restart

Hope all will be fine this time :Op

The CMOS clear did nothing (already tried that actually :p )
Basically, I have the same thing as your second picture (first post) but nothing that looks like the first picture.
No possibility to select the graphic card :s.

I'll try booting from AFUDOS and flash. Now that we have a solution to repair :) I'll keep you updated
