    yes. there ins't anything in Vista or Win7 (from what i've seen thus far) that's compelling enough to migrate from XP. the NT 5.1 kernel works and it's proven.

    I've got the Vostro 1510, and it really is a solid performer.

    I originally had a T5670 processor, which is quite by powerful, but I wanted a boost and upgraded to a T8300

    I also upgraded to a WD 320gb 7200rpm drive for $100 from newegg - great deal.

    ALSO, i've got the WXGA+ screen, and I absolutely love it - best 15" screen i've seen in a LONG time.

    Hypdotspec, who makes ur WXGA+ panel, is it LG Philips?

    Its actually an AUO, which has a reputation for graininess in the screens.

    I've got no graininess, EVEN backlighting which means little to no light bleed, great viewing angles and a fairly bright screen too :)
