So I'm in the market for a replacement for my Inspiron 1720. It's just too big to lug to class. In my search for an inexpensive replacement, the Studio 15 and the XPS 1330 have caught my eye.

Would anyone recommend the 2510 over either of the other alternatives? My budget is pretty much $900 at max, and I want to get something that will just work. I'm going to be doing schoolwork, web browsing, music listening, and maybe watching movies.

EDIT: does anyone even own one yet?

I think it's the same as the 1510 but with a two-colored body. The way I see it, the only advantage of the 2510 vs. the studio 15 is the fact that it's lighter and thinner, other than that the Studio 15 is much better featured.

Im not a big fan of the 2150, as for carrying a laptop around campus I never have an issue carrying my 17in but there is a difference between my HP and my dell in weight. Granted its been a while since I have walked across a college campus (done this MANY MANY times), I have done this with a 14in Gateway, 12in Averatec and a 15.4 Acer with really no notice in weight difference. But what I do notice that those classes with small desks are barely big enough for a 12in let alone anything bigger. Personally Id go for the 1330 over the 15 and 2150.
