It's a (Brace yourself for this) $670 upgrade to go from the T5670 to the T9500.

It's very obvious that the Vostro line was cutting into their XPS sales so they nerfed all the Vostro computers to force people into buying an XPS. Dumb business move because people are just buying from other manufacturers now that are coming out with better systems than the M1530 at better prices.

Not to mention they are still trying to market old technology in a new laptop. Its sad that people will actually take this bait. I see and hear of people buying machines for gaming or power use because a company said it was a "gaming monster" on the display sticker. Its a marketing scheme to get unsupecting buyers who dont know tech to buy into a laptop with outdated tech. Hell Ive seen Bestbuy market an weak IGP system as a pure gaming rig...so sad.

I saw this two days ago at Dell.com, and wondered why "2510"? Looked at the specs and configured a sample...boring. Nothing we don't already have.

I'm puzzled why they are releasing this unit. Maybe it's made up of recycled VOSTRO 14/15/17 models and is Dell's "Green" unit!

    has anyone bought this model?

My mother wants a new laptop. I tried to talk her into a durable Lenovo, but she wants the **** thing to have a "pretty color".

I don't really trust dell's overall build quality, but I might have to compromise if she wants a pretty laptop.

The Vostro 2510 is a Vostro 1510 with a few more bells and whistles.

I believe it comes with a 8600 card and you can get Blu Ray as an option.
