    Can the vostro 1710 cpu be upgrade to a 1066 fsb cpu? Or can I only upgrade to the fastest 800mhz fsb cpu.

    The 1710 can only use 800Mhz CPUs.

    So X9000 is the highest I can go? Or what is the highest cpu i can use?

    The X9000 could work, the main issue would be the BIOS support. The best CPU which will definately work is the T9500.
