It has a 965-Series chipset. It will not support 1066MHz FSB processors, including all of the mobile quads. The best thing you can get is the X9000, though the T9500 and T9300 are a much better value.

Is the performance far beyond what I get out out of my t7100?
I do intensive mixing of music using digidesign pro tools.
    Thanks!

Waste of money for an X9000 - only real bonus is they are unlocked but you aint gonna be able to overclock it anyway. I'm with CW and I'd go for the 9500 or 9300, better value than the X9000.

with the x9000, you pay like 200% premium for a <10% performance increase compared to a t9300/9500. also, it uses about 10w more, your mobo might not even support it.

Roughly what % increase in performance would you foresee in an upgrade from t7100 to t9300
