    Will the Vostro 1700 8600M GT 256mb card play COD 5 ?

    It's the same game engine so it shouldn't run drastically differently I wouldn't have thought. Haven't had any real world experience.

    I play both COD4 & 5 on my Vostro 1500, runs fairly well after tweaking the graphic settings. You will probably need to drop some of the detail settings. Mine runs at 1280x800 or x720 on the TV, playable, that is a 15" screen though. I'm not sure what resolution you are running in. If you are network playing, the game seems to be quite sensitive to network conditions.
