Dell has no detailed specifications listed for the displays available on the 1520. Usually I can find some info on the Dell Support site in the Setup Manual for a specific model, but not for the Vostro 1520!

The standard display is a 15.4" WXGA (1280x800) Anti-Glare LED.

For $79, they offer two different "Premium" WXGA+ (1440x900) displays- one is Anti-Glare and the other TrueLife (glossy).

    So here are my questions-

    1) Is "Premium" merely marketing B.S. or do those displays actually have superior specs other than higher resolution (higher brightness, superior color saturation, higher contrast ratio, etc.)?

    2) The WXGA+ aren't listed as having LED-backlighting, so I presume they're CCFL?

    3) The WXGA+ displays have the notation "Wide View" in parenthesis. Do they offer better viewing angles than the standard display?

I will GREATLY appreciate any input on this! I'd also love to hear from anyone who has a 1520 with one of the WXGA+ displays!

    Thanks!
