    Want to reformat my friend's new Vostro 1520. It did not come with a Media Direct disc and there is no Media Direct button on the laptop. Does this mean I can safely ignore the Media Direct step in the Dell Reformat Guide?

    Well my friend chatted with Dell tech support and they confirmed my suspicion, Media Direct is not required as there is no Media Direct button on the machine.
