Vostro 1510: renew the warranty? Advice please.

    High, I've got a 2 month old Vostro 1510 and the warranty expires on Dec 5. I got it as a replacement for a Vostro 1400 so thats why the warranty expires so soon.

    I'm thinking of just extending the limited hardware warranty. Does anyone know how much it costs?

    And also, is it worth it? Or should I just run the laptop til it goes to laptop heaven?

    depends how long u want to keep it.....my laptops are usually quite pricey so the 3 year warranty makes up a smaller percentage of the purchase price, and i prefer the peace of mind. also im quite a hardcore user, problems normally develop within 3 years and its nice to get them resolved quickly. i normally keep my systems for 5 years
