    Hi.
I got named laptop (with geforce 8400m gs) and it has got only vga port for external monitors. I would like to connect my laptop to analog PAL tv through vga port.
    I have bought this cable:
    http://www.vt-zero.com/ebay/CBA0/CBA0_A1.jpg
So the tv has scart or rca composite connectors (black, red and yellow). I've also got svideo to scart converter adapter so it is possible for me to connect svideo cable to tv as well.
But when I connect and set it to play on tv, the picture flickers, is garbled etc.. no real picture.
(I tried both composite and svideo, same thing, and ive also tried on lowest possible resolutions and bitrate and HZ rates).

I tried connecting my laptop to external computer monitor and it works correctly so I'm guessing vga port does not support tv-out through vga.

How is it possible to connect laptop and tv through vga port without buying expensive scan converters?

Ive heard something about "modelining", using modeline in nvidia drivers to modify the output signal or something like that so you would be able to connect vga to analog tv.

    What to do?
